I think this picture "fits"

So the girlfriend sent me a picture she snapped last night that immediately reminded me of this thread. Montana, beer, and a 40 (apparently the breweries). This is outside the Lewis and Clark Brewery in Helena.

Thank you sir for providing extra motivation to save my own rust bucket so I may some day take it on some adventures! Looking forward to more!

Alright Austin, hijack time. I'm in Lakeway, will travel. What can me and the lady do for the afternoon? Burger/beer, or something cooler?

Sorry, was out of pocket all weekend and didn't see your post. Would have offered the same suggestions you received from 77 Mustard. Hope you found a few cold ones.

If I ever post any Toby Keith, I have left myself logged in and someone is f'n with me.:censor::censor::beer:

LMAO. I was pretty sure that would bring you out. Guess you won't be asking old Toby to sing at Roundup 2013?...:lol::lol:

That's an inspiring pic. Never made it to Helena or heard of that brewery but they obviously have excellent taste.

Speaking of beer, had an Alaskan IPA last night. I might have had two. Made me want to jump in the rustbucket and head for Denali and beyond. Hopefully next year.

Carry on,
Lee

I highly recommend the Alaskan Amber. Had their smoked porter once at GABF. The malt was smoked in the fish smoke shop across the street from the brewery. Crazy flavor! I love AK and would love to make it back. Took me four days but I finally finished this thread. I may have cried but their was no witnesses so it didn't happen. I definitely laughed. If I didn't have such a good woman I might be driving to Bozeman to be trying to catch Jenn. She sounds like an amazing spirit.I would pick MT over anywhere else to live if I could. Thank you sir for your service, your story, and for introducing this young pup to TVZ and his gang and to Jack Kerouac. I am in your debt.

Dumb enough to keep crawling into a submarine for 8 years, Smart enough to pick a branch that had air conditioning and didn't have to live in the desert, Misplaced Son of Texas, Craft Beer Lover, Patriot of America, Chaser of all things dangerous, fast, lifted, blonde, and/or all four. Cheers!

Would love to have him perform, and bet he is a blast to hang out with.........just don't care for most of his music that is on the air.

Here let me add a bit more motivation for you, and it is still nice and cold.

Welcome aboard. Agree on Jenn. Since I started writing this tale I've wondered what happened to her. Only good things I hope. Kerouac and TVZ kinda go hand-in-hand, and you take away something different every time you read or listen.

x2. Can't stand the overproduced crap that's on the air. Keith is from OKC, used to play small clubs around town before he was "discovered." My brother and I stumbled across an acoustic show he did in a little pub in the early 90's. Totally different sound than what you hear now. He's hilarious, and very down to earth.

Here let me add a bit more motivation for you, and it is still nice and cold.

Hey, stop that. I'm workin' on it. Will be there soon as I can. :steer:

Tried an amazing (and expensive, $96 for six!) beer and thought I'd share. I've barely worked on my cruiser but I'm sure another chapter would get me going haha cheers!

Sorry for the terrible iPhone picture

That would be on sale if it were from Toyota.

It's made by monks and is never available outside the monastery unless you pick it up. This particular monastery is being rebuilt and so it's available for a limited time to raise funds. Had a few reviews of "best beer in the world". It was darn tasty!

(It's called Trappiste if you were curious)
