Boys are home from college. Trying to split time and wrench together. Got some parts coming in (front bumper, txl wire for my fuse box, fuel line/ brake lines, radiator, triple locked harness bits, etc.). While waiting, I refurbed my injectors and got my intake completed. Learned some tricks. Wire snips work great for removing brittle nose cones on injectors, a screw on a vise helped get out the old filters, a blunt chisel works great to reseat new filters (hand force, no hammers!).

So harnesses are ready, fuel tank is being fabbed, bought supplies for fuel and brakelines. Fuel supply and return are going to be -6AN. Using tube 37 deg tube nut, aluminum line, and AN fittings for hard lines for chassis runs. Flex hose AN fittings to engine and fuel tank. Tank builder standardizes on Fitech pump below. I will swap it out to 4runner 2UZ denso fuel pump.

Brake line will be stainless steel with m10x1.0 fittings. Thestopshop.com is a good site for brake stuff.

4l65e is also ready and will be mated to the engine this coming week.

What tool are you using to flare the fittings on the fuel lines?

I’ve got a Ridgid flare tool and a good bender if you want to borrow them, made making my fuel line a breeze.

Few more bits came in. 3/8” Fuel line, 37 deg flare tool, 3/8” chassis clamps and 3/8” weld tabs. Rivnut tool incoming as well

Fill it up to half a tank, go do some full lock up stops, adjust prop valve, call it good.

I know you are a very busy man CD, but giddyup! I want to see this sweet truck done!
