I'm in a holding pattern here. might get to play chauffeur for two neighbors that work at Moss Cone. apparently they don't have much faith in a car and chebby avalanche 2wd
 
Hate I didn't make it to HAMOM to see it crank. Wife wanted me to stay close incase she gets called in. Good Luck, Looking forward to the video.

The beagle has landed. Big thank you to Johnny and Brian for swinging by for as long as they could.... and a bit longer till she was bolted to trans.

Ok actually in a couple hours ago. Working down list of anscillaries and finding more projects along the way.

Stevezero and rice working on the a/c compressor clutch swap. Im on the harness connections from stem leading from injector rail down between intake runners, james is documenting for the montage :)

Motor mounts, final electrical connections, starter up next.

Wow, looking good.....Rice must be a bit sleep deprived, I am a bit surprised that you guys are putting that beautiful engine in that filthy engine compartment....guessing time is of the essence as mentioned before to free up space in garage!

The ultimate issue was getting rid of knock and the later boost. This 80 is not worth nor will it become a resto project.
 
Fun time today at Rice's place. Jason's face is priceless with the food delivery. I was hoping to hear it fire before I left, but it's all good.
 
Engine has been lit. A sound that sounds a bit like timing chain slap is present but otherwise the top and bottom end sound good. Not ready to diagnose the timing chain now. Bummer.


Thanks to ALL who put a hand into making this happen. Johnny, Brian, Steve, Steve, James .... awesome.

Biggest hand to Jason .... number of wrenching hours clocked ... 24 in 2 days. Just wow. Thanks man!
