Hi,
Do you know if the engine has ever been rebuilt?
I assume it has disc brakes all around. Is that correct?
The carburetor looks fairly new. Is that true?
Do you have additional photos?
Thank you.

To me it seems completely factory and not rebuilt, disc brakes all 4 corners. carb is brand new.

This did not have rear disc brakes from the factory. Was the rear braking system converted to disc brakes? Do you have any pictures of said conversion or any current pictures of the rear braking set-up?

Any pictures of the inside of the cab? Pull up the flooring and see what the metal underneath looks like.

Pictures of the rear axle housing facing forward? Pictures of the fuel tanks (should be two)?

Maybe a video or two of it starting up, running, etc.

Let's get some more detailed shots to corroborate the veracity of the truck for this price point.

IMO this is factory brake system, my experience with 70 series from the 90s is that they are disc in the rear. My gut says stock system. Ill try to get some more of your requested pictures taken when its not raining cats and dogs. Are you considering buying this?

There are thousands of different variations of the 70 series throughout the 40 year history.

The frame number and model code do not corroborate a rear disc set-up.

Hence my query.

So i take it your not interested in owning this but heres a screen shot of PartSouq for chassis code FZJ75LP-MRUV which clearly has a disc brake option in the lower. Even if it was a conversion i would say its for the better. However I seriously doubt it it.

Beno can defend himself, but I’d say his level of questioning implies he’s very interested in owning it…

Friendly suggestion is to not be so defensive, or just head to BaT.

Sorry didnt mean it to come off in any sort of negative connotation.

Partsouq EPC is still in development; it’s not as intuitive as other EPC options.

Even though its “shows” a disc brake option, the frame number excludes this braking system as an option when you get into part number nitty-gritty. :)

They totally had rear disc brakes in the 1990’s on 70-series. They also had no power steering, drum brakes all around and even a 4spd until about 1995.

All depends on what market it was made for.

Cheers

Just got word from the Netherlands owner, chassis is 100% stock.

I sold an HDJ81 a few months ago for $35k, it’s a good thing you didn’t list it then! I probably would have bought this first day you listed it two months ago.

GLWS, looks like a great Cruiser!

Cheers
