Greeny, green baby Its looking legit.
Thanks for the entertainment.

Good day. My rear links use an OEM bushing at the axle and a Johnny Joint at the frame. Today I’m rebuilding the Johnny Joints. They sell a tool for $150 but I used my little press and some bigger sockets and it’s working out well.

I’m all over the place on this thing. Since the steering column was dropped to the floor for ignition switch replacement I decided to yank the combo meter for bulb replacement. Bulbs are all on order plus the a new lens.

The way is clear to install the new throttle cable so that’s what’s happening now.

Don’t forget to clean out your AC evaporator box and maybe replace it and the expansion valve. Time for some soap and water.

It appears you have a bag of farts.
Yes, the bag is open bc I was showing the neighbor kid what ceramic coating looks like.

I see you went down the rabbit hole....LEGO!View attachment 3892218
I thought of everything I did to the 93 during the 8 years I had it before the “incident” and told myself that I would roll this 96 out with all that done. Tearing into the rig over and over won’t be happening this time around. This build is trying my patience but I know that I will be happier once it’s “finished”.

What I spend more time considering on this than anything else is what I’m going to do about the exterior paint situation. The hood, roof, and right fender are toast. The rest of it is acceptable for a wheeler. I’ve thought about rattle can flat camo green. Don’t think I want bedliner again. I could buy the Toyota 6M1 in rattle cans with clear coat but that would be very expensive and I’m not so sure I want a shiny rig anyway. Suggestions are welcome.

Hammer town photo! Remember when Robbie Gordon ran up on us in his orange Baja Truck and parked? He got out and talked with us before he was mobbed. The dude is an engineer, builder and legendary driver; what a life!

single stage white FTFW..... or just wrap it.

White will contrast too much with the door jams. I don’t want to take it to a body shop for a full paint job that cost too much to beat up and I don’t think a wrap will tolerate heavy abrasion.

Moving forward with the @Cruisers and Co turbo kit, this morning so far I installed the oil and coolant fittings to the turbo and spent a considerable amount not time figuring out and locking down the clocking of the oil dump 45* fitting and then the routing of the hose back to the oil pan.
