What are the dates? Is the event not sold out?
The event starts on the 4/19 I get there 4/16 and will be running trail the 17,18,19, non event. they really didn't have anything for the 19th 🤷‍♂️ two over night runs & Chicken corners which is basically a fire road.

The new changes look great! Gives me a few ideas. I've been thinking about changing up my Timbrens, just modifying the axle pads etc. But I also need to truss the axle so I'll probably do that all at the same time. I also need to do hydro assist. I like how you have yours.

Any clearance issues with hydro assist behind the axle?
Looks like it packages in there nicely.

Any disadvantages to having it in the backside?
Seems like it maybe would take some stress off of knuckle studs not having all the forces acting on the passenger side steering arm?

I can’t think of a down side to the tie rod and hydraulic cylinder behind the axle. I use a cylinder with 10” of stroke. This size is matched with the 5”of throw I had in each direction when measuring prior to ordering the cylinder. It’s also the maximum size you can physically fit in that spot.

Hydro assist more or less equalizes the stress on the steering arms and also the steering gear mount. It’s a big help in tough terrain and is also a great stabilizer. For this reason does deaden feedback to the point where street driving feels numb. We live a life of compromises don’t we?

If your are interested, my hydro assist write up begins at post #380 on page 19 of this thread.

I have been running the Hydro assist behind the axle for over 5 years now and when I first installed it it was more like Steve has his but I'm on a lower lift.
All was good until I took it to Pismo Beach and was doing some high speed dune bashing and I put one of the hydro lines into the oil pan poking a hole in the oil pan and the hydro line.
So IMHO to have the ram directly over the tie rod like Steve @baldilocks has his you need 5" of lift or more and or bump stop extensions to limit up travel.
Or you can move it forward and down like I run mine to keep it out of the oil pan.
Here's a picture of @Road Apple set up that we just installed two weeks ago same ram and set up just down and forward a bit, same as My set up.

Post pictures to make us jealous.
Ignoring the greatness off the Idaho outdoor beauty would be loss. My trailer crapped the rear axle last night. I bought a new trailer in someplace Idaho. 15k gross.

I agree. Not to much other than challenges to report. It’s all good.

Why "The Champ" now instead of "White Rhino"?
