Working on a jig for the tub.
The outside frame is bolted together, at least on one side the other is clamped so I can make some adjustments.
Decided to narrow it with 20cm to make it easier to handle on a rotisserie.
The cross bars, 5 one for each 2 connecting points from tub to frame, will be Attached in a flexible way to make it possible to use it on different vehicles.

The cross bars will get attachment points that can be adjusted in height for the different mounting points.
The tub is going to sit about 10cm plus original difference from 0 line on the chassis.
This way I can build the tub back up off the chassis and it wil fit just on there when done.
An other benefit of this is that the frame will not be in the way of the metal work.

I’m looking at the best way to make the flexible connection between cross bars and frame and mounting points and cross bars. I don’t want permanent connections if not needed but it needs to be solid as it is going to be used on a rotisserie.
The jig is standing on the levelers, an aluminium frame with treaded rods to adjust the height and set everything level.

Outside frame is welded, diagonal measurements are 10mm off that will be easy to fix.
I might add a steel wire cross to the bottom to make sure it stays square during the work on the tub.

Marked all the cross bars and cut them to size.

The ends of the side bars are capped and will get a M8 nutsert to attach an extra brace on the corners.
This brace will have a hole in the size of the top of the levelers so it cannot slide off the levelers.

All cross bars cut to size, a snug fit. Now to think about how to attach them.

Piece of angle iron with an extension plate to cover the top of the crossbeam over the box section.

Than 2 pieces of flat stock welded together on the opposite side to hold it together on a rotisserie. There will be 2 m8 bolts holding upper and lower bracket together.

This way the bars will stay in place even with side loads.

Made attest piece to find the best way to create the connection between the skin and the frame.

The side shows some damage on the skin from folding but I got the hang of it on the bottom.

I would like to make some half doors from scratch so this is a nice exercise for that.

Not much done lately.
I’ve been slowly working on the inner fenders and doors of the Unimog.
My right shoulder gives me problems that radiate through my arm making it difficult to do things.
I have an apointment in the hospital for next Tuesday and hope they can find the exact cause.
Some inner fender damage and repair pieces.

4 months in and the shoulder getting worse, still no clear diagnose.
I did finish the doors of the Mog but not been able to do much since.
I have 2 doctor appointments next week lets hope they can help.

I hope the doctors can get it sorted out Michael.

Thanks Guys, this is absolutely no fun. Nerves in the shoulder are pinched with certain movements which causes a lot of pain in my arm and hand.

I’m very sorry to hear of your shoulder issues, Michael.

I’ve found that CBD Oil and CBD Balm really help mitigate pain. They almost completely eliminate/mask the arthritis pain in my wrists/hands and the arthritis/pinched nerve pain everywhere else.

Of course, you’re still a young man. You need to find and fix the issue. But, in the meantime, these can definitely help!!

The balm is great for small areas, like hands/wrists, because you can just rub a bit in.

The oil is easier to apply over larger areas.

There’s also a tincture, for those nights that the pain prevents or degrades sleep. A drop under your tongue really helps.

I use Mary’s Muscle Freeze Oil (200mg activated hemp extract) and Mary’s Elite CBD Compound (balm: 100mg activated hemp extract). Compound | Mary's Nutritionals – Hemp Products Shop

NO side effects and are available in many places over here... they may be available locally in Holland... or on eBay.

If you can’t find Mary’s over there, you should be able to find something similar... well worth a try.

BTW I also tried THC products... they are more powerful... but, they made me feel weird and very itchy.

Good luck Michael!!
