Ordered some steel today for a welding table and a jig.
The jig is going to have the mounting points for the body to make alignment possible.
Elevated points will allign in height.
The jig will also guide the Rebuilding of the frame after disassembly and blasting.
Any of you with experience in using a jig?

Only woodworking (dovetails, etc.) and I doubt that would help you.
This is going to be different.
Basicaly building a flat wide frame with cross bars at the body connection points.
Then the connection points will be elevated to the correct hight taken from the manual.
That should give me the needed reference points and the clearence to rebuild the tub.

I’m impressed that you’re cutting and patching all that rust, most folks are leaning towards finding new tubs or going aluminum nowadays.

I like your style, I did the same thing.
