Started with cutting and Folding some steel.

The beam cleaned up very nice

One of the brackets in the beam was to far gone so making a new one.

Second support, this one has the captive nuts for the gas filler.

Used Cardboard to get the shape right.

And bended. Next to it you can see the two reinforcement brackets for the Seat belt nuts.

I think that's one of the mistakes Toyota made when designing the 40 series bodies. By installing support c channel under the floor with the c facing up their is no way to access and seam seal the inside of the c and install seam sealer to prevent rusting.

Reinforcements are rusted pretty bad, sides are good but the bottom is gone.

Today I started with cleaning and sand blasting the beam and brackets.
Treated them with Brunox and let them curve for a few days.

Next fase wil probably be etch primer and or epoxy.

Next I finished the bead roller dyes for the bib.
Rolled the beads, cut the patch to size and fit it to the bib.

Next I started welding .

The profile is a lot better now.
