hi mudders !
I am out of town (college station tx) helping a friend clear his lot
We were pulling trees with the LC. Big one would not come out ( was not really that big, perhaps 3 inch trunk) so i triple locked on flat concrete surface and when i pulled (in reverse) we heard something snap ! Front axle for sure
Tested moving 4-5 feet and definetly hear some metal crunch crunch.
I pulled the DS axle to investigate. All looks good
Lift PS wheel, engage in D, and it turns but at every revolution i could hear something in the differential.
Hard to describe the sound. It is not grinding, it is more like a little clunk at every turn
PS birf sounds good
I am wondering if the issue is related to the eLocker pin ? Is that something that could snap ?
Main goal right now is figure out how to get it moving so i could go back home (dallas) tomorrow
My thought right right now is to remove the front shaft, engage center dif locker , and give it a try
Thought ? Thank you so much for any help or comments you can offer
