Does anyone know if the Quick Hinges are still being made? I ordered a set from MC design offroad in July, They took my money but never sent them, I have emailed them multiple times but never had any response. Thanks

Thanks! The top ones are definitely an exercise in patience. If you have giant hands , its going to be really difficult. Try reaching up there and feel the bolts now so you can mentally prepare yourself for the journey. All told, I would say it was a two hour process to get the old hinges out and the new ones in. Worth the effort, but it wasn't without frustration.

Sounds like if I get some in time, I just need to hand them to the paint and body guys and say "Here, paint and install these when you go to put the FJ back together." LOL

Ok, so I’m finally done with my MiL orders and Oct drill, back at the civy job.

I just visited the fab shop and grabbed a bunch of welded door halves and bolts and made a huge order for more parts-70 minimum-Regular sets worth.

I’ve been waiting for this.

The box is full across now-20 sets worth of A-pillar halves with bushings pressed. Still need to coat them.

Snow finally came to W. Michigan so I installed the Sienna wheels and snow tires on my wife’s “new” ‘23 Camry. I bought the wheels for cheap and worked on cleaning them up for paint while I was on orders.

After my last post I started cleaning out a space in my basement utility room to work in comfort on hinges over the winter. Had to install a new LED light so I could see.

Then I went to look for door halves I was certain I had stock of only to find out I had used them up when I was still on mil orders.

So the shop might have built some today. I’ll know more tomorrow. I’ll update more as things progress.

I’ve learned that we’re taking our son to Denver for Xmas to help him house search. Wooo! He got a job working major acft for one of the big carriers out there.

I don’t have any great updates to share. The my current builder has my door halves shelved due to some bigger project.

I may grab some stock and fixtures this week to take to another shop just to get some parts I need.

I’ll be driving to Denver/Aurora, CO this weekend to spend the holiday week with my son who is working on buying a house near Buckley AFB.

I picked up some R&D parts today for the ambi-door hinges and would love to find someone local there with a later 40 who could let me check the parts for pre-weld dimensioning purposes.
