Just an FYI here but I thought it might be of some value. The mice have badly chewed up my seat foam padding so I pulled out the seats, shook out and vacuumed out all the mouse crap and foam bits that they chewed up for nesting, and sprayed canned foam insulation up under the upholstery into the voids. I used the lesser expanding foam intended for door and window jambs and made a long straw to get way up inside the seats. I probed around into the voids, squirted the stuff in, and let it expand. I could not believe how well it filled out the upholstery!
A small amount expanded out the bottom of the seat back which I just trimmed off flush with a razor knife but it left no open space for a mouse to climb in to. We'll see how it goes but it has got to be better than what I had going on.
