Ok, I was trying to avoid it, but I have gotten set up with this company to bring in rolls of the lock strip.
I keep getting too many questions about it. :p

I'll have a big roll of it here to chop bits off as needed, will post up when it is all set to go.

You are the man Kevin:D

Put me down for a full order.

Put me in the que...

KR,

Would like to do the same ("de-chrome") my 60, please advise when/if you still want to be the middleman when the material arrives. Thanks!

Dave

Put me in for a full set for a 60. Thanks Kevin

Kevin, I know your not taking "lists" yet but for my sake as this list is already long enough... put me down too :)

edit: I should be ready to order a tailgate lid for my 62 here soon as well is everything works out :D

sounds like to me, you could be a dealer of this addiction...
With that being the said, i could use some as well for the full vehicle.

Just one more interested party. I have all the windows removed for paint and threw all the chrome strips away as I'm blacking out. So, I'll be needing some, too.
Thanks for doing this.

Ah another list but he'll work it through, Glad your coming back and I hope you are happy after your move. Doc:)

Sign me up for a full set. I'm up in PDX but make it down to Eugene frequently so I could stop by and get it or meet you somewhere when it comes in.

Ok, I have the first batch of window welting here and divided out, with the emails I have and the posts here, it is already spoken for. That gets us up to GDA62 here in this thread.
But, there is more on the way.

I'll say right up front, it is not a great deal to get this stuff from me!
I'm not getting that good of a discount on it and, on top of that, I have to have a big box of it shipped to me, then I have to divide it up and ship it out, then there are the paypal fees, etc.
If you go back to my very first post in this thread my advice still holds true, a local window glass shop will still be the best bet, you should be able to get enough for your truck for half a much as I am going to have to charge for it.
The complication is that this seal is getting much less common since I first posted that info (7 years ago![holy crap]) the trucks that it was used for are few and far between anymore.

I have to charge $34 for a set to do all 4 gasketed windows.
So I am not happy with how much I have to charge for it, but it should at least be fairly convenient, I will keep it in stock for when you need it and you will get four pieces already cut to length.

FYI, if you can't afford a whole set (or are just really cheap) every 40 trucks I will have enough cut off scraps to piece together a set from. :p
I don't really recommend doing that since each window will have a couple seams in it, but heck, I hate throwing stuff out.

BTW, More door and hatch seal sets will be here as well, ready in short order.

Thanks for shipping mine out so fast Kevin:D It should be here Tuesday. Now all I have to do is take my windshield back out so I can remove the accumulated water. It will then get glued back in place with this new strip.

You're the man:grinpimp:

$34 for the whole set?

That doesn't seem bad at all... convenience is worth a lot!

Yup, that is for all 4 windows, it should be half that in my mind though.
I suppose it is actually 40' of welting when it's all said and done.
But still. it was free when I first needed it, just getting harder and harder to come by.

s*** I'd still pay extra if it supports a Mud vendor. Especially one who's as passionate about Cruisers as you are Kevin. You've done some great work and designs and I'd support that in a heartbeat.

Not that I'm trying to sound like a kissass :flipoff2:

Well it's here if you want it and I'll keep it on hand, links to purchase are active on my site (under weatherstrip) or you can drop me an email if you want me to invoice you directly and avoid paypal. (at least that will make it 3% cheaper. :p)

Sign me up for a set

Another useful product to add to your line-up. I need a set please. Email forthcoming. Thanks for taking care of the blackout crowd.

I just completed this mod over the weekend.

It went pretty smooth, thanks to others advice.

The bicycle tire levers and the use of an open-end wrench (Craftsman 10mm) worked pretty well.

I used wet silicone lubricant, and kept having to re-apply after every 3-4 inches as it dried out really fast.

The only hairy part was the front windshield, due to the 90* corners at the bottom and the tightness of the existing molding - not 100% happy with how the new strip pushes out the molding, but it is certainly tight and once it vulcanizes together, will be even better.

On another note, I have enough of the WLS-466 left over to do another cruiser - Ill post that up in the classifieds.

Just ordered. Saves a lot of running around. I hope to get my 62 back together this summer...or next summer...or the next summer...or after I graduate... Thanks for all the good stuff you do for our Cruisers.
