Also been messing around with the tray. Git some Mac's Custom tie-down rails and mocked up some rubber gym flooring. Haven't figured out yet what I want to glue the floor down with.

Question/Poll:

@NCTrey133 (the guy who made the tray) likes the raw aluminum look without the rubber flooring. So imma leave it up to the ppl. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

My choice would be the rubber mat especially in wet situations. That stainless steal looks great but a nasty slip hazard.

Im a fan of the raw look also. I would keep the pieces you cut for when I hauled things on it to keep it from getting scratched/gouged up. Also, wont that mat hold the moisture in under it?

On a another note, I laughed at your stickered up interior and realized it sure would be nice if vendors would change up their logos once in a while for repeat customers..... especially after all the coin we've dropped!!! lol

Quick afterthought, what about doing a zeus/cam lock fastener to hold the mat down, but still make it removeable?

I agree with the stickers/patches. I've had this in mind forever, so I've been saving stickers forever. I did the same in my other cruiser with patches.

I'll look into it. Do you have a link of what your referring to?

My vote is rubber mat. If you want thicker stuff without spending a premium, go to Tractor Supply and get a stall mat. A lot heavier duty without the sticker price

That’s what I’ve got in my garage under the squat rack.

I think it is spelled Dzus, and you may find them listed as quarter turn fasteners.

Why not a tinted bed liner? The raw look is nice but going to get scratched up and as others said very slippery when wet. The bed liner will add some durability and some resistance to things sliding around and if it gets gouged up it's easy to respray.

Ok. Good suggestions. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks

Any recommendations for high pressure power steering hoses? I want to think the I had was 300 psi. If 300 psi is good enough, it may of been weak from "forcing" the AN fitting on.

Catching up on your great build. I ended up using this kit specially for power steering. You really need closer to 2000 psi max pressure.

Awesome, thanks. Just ordered

Installed the WOLFBOX G850 4K Mirror and ATOTO S8 Ultra 10.1 head unit.

Of course it was a pain in the ass like everything LC 🙄. The screws for the head unit screen are EXACTLY hidden by the surrounding plastic. Had to cut a hole to screw it in.

Also, my rear view mirror is too flimsy to hold the wolfbox mirror in place. I know Wit's End made a rear view mirror bracket, but his site is down at the moment. . .any suggestions?

Oh and before all that. The PO did a hack job on the stereo wires. There were house speakers wires that were spliced into factory wires, and I had to find another constant power source because the one on the factory wires no longer works.

I am really interested to see how you like your head unit. I’m trying to find a remote-screen option or worst case a floating screen. My wife’s new car has Apple CarPlay and I am hooked.

There are a lot of reviews on YouTube. Even a guy out of Australia used this one in his LC. I think it's "Aussi Arvos"

Between doing some body work, I put on a Tinkerer Range t-case knob I got from @Mstudt. It probably add 5% more HP 🤭

Not sure if I'm getting good at changing the power steering lines, or I'm just s***! Probably the latter. Got the hose ans JIC kit @NeverFinis recommended. When I was putting the fittings on the hose, the hose did spin around a bit. Tested the power steering and the pressure pushed the hose out. This was user error (me), not allowing all the threads to lock into the hose.

Redid this morning and hoping I don't need to address this issue again 🤞🏽

Ah, and used some dye to find the oil leak. It was coming from the adapter to the oil pressure guage sensor.

Would of been a huge PIA to tighten, but I took the hood off. . .and it was only hand tight 🙄. So I'll check power steering and oil leaks tomorrow because it's supposed to rain, and I don't feel like being defeated in the rain today.

Do yourself a favor, mock up the hoses and then go to a hydraulic shop and have some made (crimped). Those can be good temp solutions but not long term.
Already planning with the ones from the first cut.

I've had really good luck with the field serviceable fittings from psc on moonshine. Every single one on the truck is done that way, and I haven't had to change any in about 10 years.

You experience failures while racing or something?
