Yes I have. But I think I have everything for the 2FE.

I'll be getting the 80 ready for The Cove this weekend. Need to figure out why the brand new spare is flat. I've got the backup camera installed and kinda working, wiring bug. Front facing camera will hopefully be done tomorrow along with the new stereo. Diffs get new oil, hopefully I'll remember to reattach the breather lines while I'm down there. Need to make sure the camping gear is ready too. Ordered 14 new magazines for things that go pew pew to get ready for the range. Need to order more ammunition, I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

Starting to pack 'em up... had the gear, just need the truck ...

Installed the Bowfin Cruisers roof rack over the weekend along with a "new to me" CVT Mt. Shasta RTT. Diff lock label added as cherry on top. Also got A/C recharged just in the nick of time as we hit 90's. Test drove tent in the backyard last night! Awesome!

Working on getting the 80 ready for the Cove.

Awesome!! Looking forward to meeting you! My truck has come a long way since my friend the PO brought it to you for the head gasket back in 2018!

My rear axle is almost ready to go back in the truck. Stripped down to bare metal with a wire wheel, primed and painted. All new studs, nuts, bolts for the diff and diff cover. Made new brake lines out of NiCopp.

New wheel bearings, seals, and Nitro semi float axle shafts to replace the corroded originals. Should get back on the truck tomorrow....

Damn!! Those brake lines look great! What did you use to bend them up? Did you get yourself a flaring tool as well?

Edit: see the flaring tool in the pic now.

I actually got the idea to use NiCopp from one of your posts. Most of it I carefully formed by hand. For the tighter bends I used a 1” socket held in a vice to bend the material around. I have a HF flaring tool that works good. NiCopp is so easy to work with that it makes you look like a pro, lol.

Today I’m installing the rear OME leaf springs. Discovered that the threads for the little bolts to keep the spring pins from rotating are all stripped. There’s no room on the back for nuts. How would you guys deal with this?

- Weld, drill, and tap new holes?

- Tack weld them in place?

- Safety wire?

- They’re not important, just ignore it and get this thing on the road?

- Some other solution?

Also, should I be concerned welding within a foot of the gas tank? I’d prefer to not blow myself up.

Thanks
