I've exhausted all possibilities of correcting the alignment issue unless I find another PS pump with a longer shaft. I've removed the PS pump, brackets, etc. from my 40, this has been a complete waste of money and time.
As of this moment I don't know how I will proceed, maybe Georg refuses to accept the fact that this is a pump issue.
Hey Mike.
I'm not sure if you still feel this way about your project.
But I'll tell you a couple of things:
1) I've been working on cruisers since 1987 and bought my first one in 1991. I've owned them ever since and started working on them full time ten years ago. I still learn something new everyday and hope to continue to do so. Otherwise I might as well quit.
2) it is absolutely not a FACT that I sent you the wrong PS pump. Not sure where that idea came from but it's just simply not true.
I hope the pulley is the last piece in your ps conversion puzzle. Best of luck with the rest of your project.
I'll be happy to continue to chime in if you need more help or input.
