My 1973 daily driver.....

I like the Black!

If you don't mind me asking, what size of tires are you running and does your rig have a shackle reversal?

Geez, Markus and Taro, beautiful!! DHRacer, it is sad you're selling, I hope you keep up the DH riding (I am also a keen DH rider).

Here's my Dora, still being driving daily for 2 hours down a mountain and back.

I just read through this entire thread. My truck will be a daily driver in 3 days. Attached is the day I got her and after a Spruce Green Rustoleoum paint job, and currently reassembling the top and doors.

Some incredible rigs in this thread! maybe this will spur me to finish and also revive the thread!

Great job on the paint! I love that color.

Thanks!! it's my first cruiser and paint job so let's just say the camera was rather forgiving.

The whole idea was to treat some rust, keep the metal covered, and do it all cheaply. It should buy a few years until I can step up to a Mako paint job!:D

I have to repaint the top white and then im ready to drive her daily.....can't wait. I like the way the green came out....lots of grey in it and definitely one of a kind.

Well, it looks good from here. I painted my 40 with Nasons auto paint and when I was done spraying it had all of the problems a paint job can have: orange peal, runs, fish eyes..... Just wait till it hardens and sand it with 600 grit wet paper. Go over that with a good rubbing compound and then a polish / wax. You'll be amazed at the gloss that is in there.

Under the paint section there were guys that were ROLLING on Rustoleum. If you get enough on there you just sand until it's smooth.

Nice choice of color. Looks like Nebula Green.

Good Golly! Some of these are danged fine rigs for DDs!.

Here's mine, with some heavy body work already done. It is listed for sale now on CL, but with the warm weather, I may change my mind again. I sure like that Rustoleum Spruce Green, may do some clean-up and a rattle-can refresh for spring time.
