Finally out of the garage! Just put a 4" skyjacker on it, 33x9.50x15 BFG's, 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 speed, "new" F engine, and basically rebuilt the front end.

It is a '71 that has been in the family since '73. I learned to drive on it with brakes you had to pump, a clutch that slipped, no PS, and 3 on the tree - not the best vehicle for a novice, but oh well... I bought it from my Mom after my Dad passed away a few years back and since then I have been bitten by the FJ bug bad.

Within the next few months I should have my '72 FJ55 on the road to share the DD responsibilities.

Another pic of my 1980 BJ40 - Although there's not much of the 'BJ' left anymore as the diesel motor was replaced by a 253 V8 ages ago.

That makes it a weekend warrior not DD :flipoff2:

Youre right , I guess it is a weekend warrior now.

I have a long commute to work ,the cruiser is just to expensive to drive with gas as high as it is.

I can't help it. I've been wanting a cruiser for a long time and here I found myself in Japan with a rare one. I had to add another one of my shots.

My 1970 40, Up and running

This cruiser has been the bane of my existance for the past year. However, it's finally up and running and has been worth every drop of sweat; I love this beast, and will probably spend the remaining years of my life perfecting it. I drive this mostly every day, and love every kidney pounding minute I spend in her.

You can have the green truck! You might have a hard time getting a 1994 Surf through customs.
