im 99 percent sure im gonna put monstaliner color desert sand on the upper sides where the body line is and down. just wondering if its gonna look the way im visualizing. my cruiser is black now but may be 2 toned by feburary, because of money issues

I'll bite. Recently de-flared & lined with Al's Liner, gray over a custom blue (blue soon to be re-coated Vista or Army Green). Parked off-camber here:

Where the greyish color is on yours was my first idea but then I went wheeling and the sides got all scratched up so that's why I'm doing pretty much the whole side instead of just the bottom half. Your does look good thou

does anyone else have the sides bedlinered and paint on the top half of the rig?

wv_lx450, that last pic is how im thinking of doing mine. except the cut off parts. and then black paint on top.

does anyone have a black paint w/ tan bedliner? just wondering?

Sweet color scheme! I wouldn't change it if I were you.

kilrspd,
Here is a pic of my rig in its former state. I believe it has the lines you like. Regarding color, I would do black liner on black paint, or gray liner on black paint for a two tone but Al's gray is pretty light so I would tint it dark gray. These are obviously my tastes, if you want to do a desert sand, I would photoshop your rig before you pull the trigger on the color you want. Looking forward to the finished pictures.

That's the line I would've taken if the clearcoat on the top of my fenders wasn't bubbling and peeling. It looks way better.

Here ya go. Tri-color.

I was actually thinking black or dark grey after talking to my buddy last night he said dont do that color that would be ugly. your rig looked awesome bad then. its sorta the bar im trying to hit.

Can you apply bed liner on top of bed liner? I want to re do mine but don't wan to have to get all of the bed liner that is on it now off!

Great job Plutonius. Can you post some close up shots? Maybe where the two colors meet. What technique did you use to get a clean line like that?

I just used 1/4"masking tape (pinstriping size) and 1" green extra adhesive tape and rolled it with a smooth foam roller while it was hot - half-quart batches mixed with vinyl flattener rolled in the first ten minutes of set-time in warm weather. You get a smoother & more manageable texture when the liner is warm. The black in this pic is still wet, and under lights, so it won't be so sparkly...I'll post up daylight pics once it's all cured - one more thin coat to go on the black
