What components are being replaced? Power pistons? Sector shafts?

All seals, bearings, shaft will be lathe spun to check for straightness and polishing, power seals, any gnarled bolts/nuts will be changed. Completely disassembled, hot tanked and repainted.

Guy here in town used to work for Lares and started up a shop for the mine companies. Basically we're trading services. He wants welding done and I want boxes rebuilt.

That's great considering none of the internal OEM parts are available anymore. Solid work.

Sector shafts haven't been available in years from Toyota.

I am at the place where all of my s*** lives. :)

I'll be heading back west in January, then again in February, and making my move in March.

My guy is not Toyota affiliated. He/they bought several overstock/dead inventory warehouses years ago. They rebuild some very high end cars. boats, misc military units and are a full in house manufacturer for custom products. Its crazy what they do there. I got to know them back in my weld inspection days. We were at the same friction and orbital welding training seminar and he was telling me about what they do and then we started talking cruisers etc... Been a great relationship for almost a decade.

If you come through here you're always welcome for a home cooked meal and brews.

Finally the Tough Dog order was placed. I'll have a few different 60 lift kits available in about 6-7 weeks.

Once I get mine installed I'll decide which tires to run. May go to 16" steelies, but love the OEM wheels.

Go with the 70-Series Land Cruiser wheels, I like the look of them with my BFG LT235/85R16s ATs. Still working on getting the OME suspension and 3FE/H55f installed so I can see the final product.

I was looking at that combo. Tires are a bit short though. Want as close to 33 as I can get.

I am not sure how you can resist a set of OEM cable lockers! You have strong will power. :)

Tow points and final quarter panel articles arrived (fingers crossed). I'll get a set on Poppy SOON!

Once it warms up a little I'll try out my new lockstrip. For the guys that want to keep it as original looking as possible... YEP CHROME!

Its flexible and doesn't bind as much in the tight turns like the rubber strip, but is much more rigid. I'll report back when I can install some.
