Non- Daily-I drive my RAM Eco-Diesel for work. While it has all of the bells and whistles, I can't wait to get in the 2003 LC with 196k on the weekends. It rides better, drives better, and is way more fun!

I’m interested in hearing about that swap. I have a possible future donor LS1 I want to throw in a 60.

I did not do it. So, I don't have a lot of tech info. If you want tech info, I recommend talking to @FJ60Cam ... Swaps are his specialty.

That being said, this was a GM Performance crate 5.3l e-rod engine with a 4L65E transmission. I've run a stock 2F and a desmogged 2F. There's just nothing like LS power. Feel free to reach out and I can tell you all about the experience, but I'm not your guy when it comes to the tech side of the swap.

01 LC with full Dissent treatment and lift is Wife’s daily with the kids. She does about 80 miles a day so definitely not the cheapest option, but we both feel that it is the safest with the kiddos! I drive a Tundra every day so we obviously are not concerned about fuel economy... ::rofl:

99 LC. 149,000-ish miles.
Wife daily drives it, and LOVES it.
Kids LOVE it.
I do too. A lot.
Clear coat is peeling/blistering, but everything works, and she purrs like a kitten.
And it’s paid for!

2003 LC, 202K miles and my daily driver since I bought it new in December 2002.
Still going strong. We don't hesitate to take it on vacations for 1 or 2 thousand miles.

100 is my daily. 5-20 mile daily commutes. my LS swapped 60 is my weekender/fun vehicle.

Super jealous. Didn't have the time (or if I'm being honest, the skill) to ever V8 swap my 60. So I ended up in the LX after a fling with the 4th Gen 4Runner.

OP, sorry if I missed it, but why are you surprised a lot of people DD their Hundy? It's my third row family hauler and I love it. I drive about 10K miles a year, and at that rate I could drive it forever. Someday it will by my kids' run around, but I'm still struggling with that idea. It would kill me if they put a dent in her or do damage that we would have to write her off.

99 LC-15 MPG, 06 Prius-50 MPG. Love the driving the Land Cruiser but can't justify the expense (especially since it requires premium).

Daily drive a F250 6.2 gas boss engine, Crew Cab Long bed, so on Sunday the LX feels like a great on gas Prius to me

I found the LC by looking for vehicles that fit my family and what I wanted/needed to do. So I guess I came into this thinking is was a hobbyist forum for trails rigs.

I guess the next logical question would be how stock everyone’s vehicles are.

I have an electric car for my 50mi round trip to work. What I save in gas over driving the LC pays for the electric car. Two for the price of one. Not bad!

I daily drive mine, 40 mile round trip commute.

I daily drive mine and any opportunity I have.

I drive mine('99 with 259k) in rotation with my intended DD (04 GS430 230k)...love them both for different reasons, the GS makes more sense, but I miss the LC when I don't drive it, plus I like keeping everything lubed with use....guess I love that toyota V8 in truck or car version. My wife DD's her 08 GX470 130k....she loves her toyota v8 too.

If your a DIY type person, your parts stock must be very small since they all pretty much use the same oil, oil filter, and maybe even air filters.

Does anyone want to tell him?
