2 of 3, yes. 1 of 3, no. So I guess that’s a “yes” from me.

Our 4 vehicles all run fine (at the moment), but with only 2 people in the house that actually drive it's difficult for a particular vehicle to be a "daily driver" as that would mean the others are sitting more than I'd like.

A beater Benz was the 4th vehicle and most recent addition to the fleet. Didn't need it but just couldn't say no.
I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

Yep. Get's the same mpg as my 7.3 gas job Super Duty, but is much more comfortable to drive.
I'll put it in the barn for winter soon. Probably dig out the old e46 as it makes a fantastic winter beater, or maybe even the LR3.

Daily driver here as well, although I’d like to replace it for that duty in the next few years and keep it as an off roader. With 33’s, ARB w/ winch and Prinsu roof rack I feel like the power is just adequate for interstate driving. Acceleration and merging up an on ramp requires I flog the crap out of it to get up to speed. Traveling at speeds above about 68 mph takes the fuel mileage from very poor into the abysmal single digits.

Mine is my daily. Hopefully over the next year or so I can figure out a way to change that, but for now I'm good with it. Only do about 25 miles per day and hardly anything on the weekends unless we're going on a trip. It's one of the reasons I'm spending the money to keep it very well maintained and not spending on aftermarket things right now.

My 2002 LX470 has been my daily driver since 2016 when I purchased it when it had only 24K miles.
Now has 73K miles. Retired so I don't put a lot of miles on it.
Just finished base lining it with two new CV Axles, Mobil-1 75W90 in Front and Rear Differential and Transfer Case.
Greased Drive Shaft and torqued bolts. Replaced Spark Plugs. x4 new Michelin Tires.

w211 e500. It gets places a lot faster than the 100 does

Very nice E500! I had an (older) E55 for a short period of time.

“A lot quicker, except during/after a hurricane” I’d believe.

I looked at a number of more efficient, or more fun commuters, but after growing up on the gulf coast, a big SUV has certain advantages as a DD. A high mileage used 99 LX was my solution to the problem.
