i just bought a 2005 lx470 to be my daily so i don't think its so crazy. But then again i was dallying a rs7 so this is going to be around the same mpg but way cheaper maintenance for me. Just don't buy the cheapest one you can find and you should be ok.

RS7? Wow. Now that’s one heck of a daily. I like your style.

Haha thx. She been good to me, even took it on a long road trip New Jersey to Maine. but the brakes are just expensive.

Why is having deep pockets a reason to buy an LC? I get there are some big-ticket items with some high mileage but other than that it isn't a huge cost to own one of these.
They are certainly a lot 'needier' than all other Toyotas I've owned - 4runner / Highlander / Prius. Brakes, steering gear, boots, AHC (if equipped), windshield!, radiator, etc.

Also completely different driving experience than all other Toyotas as well, significantly better all around. So I guess you get what you pay for?

I have 5 cars in my rotation but i generally grab the keys to my LX to drive to work, errands, junk food runs etc...

Smooth, comfortable, reliable and it's a tank. It protects me and my family from bad drivers.
If you had to get rid of one would it be the LC or LX?

My wife daily drives a stock '05 LC about 40 miles round trip each day. Almost entirely 55mph and flat. She loves everything about it except the lack of bluetooth stereo connection. Haven't bothered to calculate mileage yet (owned one month). I expect significantly more maintenance needs than the 2011 Explorer it replaced.
Dude. Put a Bluetooth stereo in it! It's a pretty easy way to score huge points.

Very tough question to answer, I like the driving dynamics of my LX more. That AHC and the VGRS makes driving so good. It’s quieter than the LC, but in the long run I know the LC will be worth more due to the cult following.

So I’m keeping both 😬

I hear the quiet factor a lot, is it actually quite noticeable? I work in the auto industry and know even Lexus at this point (or atleast 2018 when I was working on a Lexus program) was still working on backing off NVH padding and absorbing adders. In 07 was it a noticeable difference?

Also what is VGRS?

Variable Gear Ratio Steering

Or something along those lines. Requires a LX specific steering rack if you ever need to replace it.

Dude get a BT45-TOY and spend an hour installing it for her already!

I appreciate y'all looking out for me! Definitely need the points. Undecided if we're going to just do this bluetooth add-on or go wild with the Teyes whole screen unit. Decisions decisions...

If you want pain. Lots of pain. Do the Teyes.

Either a simple bluetooth adapter or doing a Grom VLine or VLite is far better implementation than that full screen replacement stuff.
