My experience, daily driver, 2003, when purchased around 160k on the clock, currently around 270k. I drive 45ish miles a day for work, gas mileage is a thing, especially if coming from a vehicle with better mileage, I did not, previous truck averaged around 12 so not a big shock for that. Planning is your friend, I do as much maintenance as possible, what I do run into, is part availability, if something breaks suddenly, can be a issue to get replacement quickly, so far that has not been issue but maybe once with radiator. If you plan maintenance prior to major issue, get parts in, then do the work, it’s doable, it may cost slightly more that say a Ford truck as far as parts, but I haven’t found anything that’s that much more than any import that you want to stay with org, equipment stuff.
