IDK, it really looks too damn small but I know it's not. My eyes playing tricks on me for sure. It was the same way when building the house. When it was just studded walls the rooms all looked too small but when the drywall went up it was like " whoh, what happened, these rooms are now bigger". I'm sure once the sheet metal goes on things will look like I expected them too. Kind of a cool picture from last night with the moon directly over head

Well they did get some sheet metal on yesterday. I think they will be done Mon/Tues next week.

Got a few updated pics, although they are late evening pics. More siding and wainscot have been applied. I have to stop working so late :bang:

Maybe I missed it earlier in the thread, but what are you going to do for a floor?

@1911 5" of concrete is scheduled for late next week when we have a break in the weather. All the barn builders around here want concrete to be done after the barn is up.

This morning.....nearing the finish line :bounce:

Ordering the 16 x 14 garage door this weekend. Insulated (19.4 R value).........then try to figure out if I can install the damn thing.

Safe to say no concrete till the frost comes out...how big an apron do you plan on pouring?

Actually concrete next week as we will have a few nicer days. Hopefully an 8', full width apron.

Talked with HomeDepot about the garage door and here is what I think I am buying:

Brand: Clopay Commercial Series
16 x 14
2" thick with Polyurethane fill for an R-Value of 19.4 (the best they offer)
Minimum 15" radius top track for longer roller life
Internal slide lock
One panel with 18 x 24 windows (x4)
$2,665.00 - without installation so one more thing I will have to learn on the fly but hey that what we like right.......learning new things!

Meeting with the concrete folks tomorrow to finalize the game plan below:
Concrete type: 5" thick fiber-mesh
Central floor drain
Isolated 6"-8" thick pad for the 2-post lift (brand to be determined yet but has to be soon)....probably Bendpak or Atlas because the USA made ones are simply too expensive :bang:.

If the weather does get nicer next week like they say it will the concrete goes in as planned.
