On the speedometer cable, if I recall, the grommet comes with the new (OEM) cable. Yours didn't?

Very nice work

Quick question...did you add the roll bar support when you added the roll bar? If I am not mistaken, since your '70 did not originally have a roll bar, there are a couple of brackets that should be added in the wheel well to support the bar. I don't have a bar, but I seem to remember reading this somewhere as needing to be done to make it safe...and it stuck in my head.

Yes I did, there are some pictures back there of the wheel well supports installed. Thanks! :)

mine did that too.. i've heard mixing some grease in there after a little bit of the oil drains out works well.. but i'm not sure what kind of grease to use...

I decided to do away with the idea of installing a Painless wire harness. I am now having an OEM type harness remade :)

Here are some "update" photos. Waiting for some touch ups, repaints and softop doors to be finished to end the paint and body work. Engine is finally rebuilt, they have yet to finish the rebuilding of the transmission and transfer case.

Here are some knobs from Knoobs.com check how amaurer created new OEMish type a/c knobs. Trollhole is restoring my switches and repainting some knobs in good shape.

Also sending my wire harness to Coolerman for a new OEM type one (I'm selling my Painless kit... anyone??)

are you going for a winch on the front? pto? electric? or nada, zilch nothing :)

foxfab may still have some hand crank guides...that would look very nice on the front :)

Hey, I haven't given it much thought as to adding a winch. I am wary of the engine overheating in the Texas summer since I am adding an a/c. So I was thinking of adding the front OEM license plate bracket and to keep it stock. By the way, I have a new heavy duty OEM color bumper for a winch from CCOT. But I'm thinking I'll sell it.

looking awesome man!

jealous about your new coolerman wiring harness, that is gonna be the knees of the beees :)

Thank you bro, actually I got so much into restoring this correctly from seeing your thread! I have basically used almost all suppliers for one thing or another, now I need to buy something from Mark ;)

BTW a little off topic here, I am also satisfying my wizardly side (and my nephews and nieces'), so I'm restoring a 1962 Ford Anglia Deluxe... I know its stupid to do two cars at once. I just saw the rebuilt engine, its a Ford Kent engine (English Ford of course). Guess what movie this car is from and I'll assign some points to your house...
