Oops.. sorry. They looked just like the SOR pics. Did they come with the sheet metal holding bracket? I think it bolts to the rear crossmember? Or did you have to buy those separate?

Can I still sport these Toyota mudflaps.. even if my '71 rig has a Chevy 350 engine?!

Your build thread is my new photo reference! I'm also looking to buy and install a spare tire carrier, and haven't found many pics of the carrier mounted without a tire blocking!

Thanks for taking the time to share all these awesome cruiser porn pics!!

You are welcome bro! Of course you can sport them, look I'm a reasonable purist, how I want my truck may not be how yours is. I just have a thing with restoring, its a mental process. I project rebuilding myself. That's why I look for stock yet fixing what could be better as brakes :P

Thanks for the eBay and Amazon leads.

$160 in classy mudflaps alone! No details or expense spared.. this is one high-end vehicle!!

Sadly my wallet isn't jumping for joy, I have three classic cars. I should stop or I won't enjoy them as I should.

Haha I hope you hadn't mentioned a Triumph... look what you made me do.

Its a 1963 Triumph Spitfire Mark I

Wow! This project is coming along great!

Thought I would post a pic of your new harness being built... :D

Wow...more and more beautiful pics in this thread...very cool!!!

In the basement working on your harness and have a question: Is the rear heater you obtained a two speed or single speed? The harness you will get will accomodate a single or a two speed but if your rear heater does not have the resistor in the housing, you will need to get it, to make it a two speed. I revived an old thread asking if someone knows the value and wattage of this heater resistor as they are easy to source if you know these values.

Hi bro, I'm not sure its either two speed or one. It is a heater for the later model ones so I'm not sure.

Pistorman,

How about a few pics of your "tinted" windows? As a fellow Texan, or at lest residing in the Republic, you know the import of a "little shade".

Thanks and Very well done!

Hi there, sure I'll upload some pics of the slightly tinted glass. To be honest I'm not too happy with them. I'm not a fan of the charcoal or black tint for classic cars. So I'm trying to get slightly green tint film from Mexico, here in the states they just don't sell it anymore. I am also looking to bring in clear (though UV blocking) tint film.

I should have more pictures next week. I'll upload them asap. Coolerman is doing an awesome job of a harness.

Teaser pic of your finished, taped and labeled main harness. Soon as I get those lights, I'll re-wire them and get all of it into your hands.

Sorry just bumping for an answer. Thanks.

Holes are not stock. My stock 1970 doors are all metal in that area. I can shoot some pics and upload if need be. Cheers.

Mark

Looking good...when you gonna let her out of the cage?

Great work. I am really impressed with your attention to detail. I just purchased a 1979 FJ40 restoration project and will definitely be referring to your thread for some time to come.
