Here's two...

Great to put faces to posts! Made it home with only minor issues after the lil shakedown run Saturday. That crunchy noise is still happenin, and my high beams like to do this fun thing where my headlights shut off:-)
Nothing too bad, all in all!
I'm gonna tear down the knuckles and do a rebuild in there....see what I see. Maybe the longfields get purchased, like Jmack suggested.
Thnx for the good times, hospitality, and triple thanx for all the EXPERT ADVICE!!
Y'all are a rad bunch of folks!!
Now....am I using the air compressor or just power washing the RED DUST outta the interior of my truck and ear canals?!?!

Just got home. We got past Phoenix and the heat was just too much. Got a hotel in Buckeye and got up at 1 am to beat the heat.

So just out of Delores I decided to Check on that hesitation. Every thing lead to a dropped cylinder except that it idled really well. This is what I pulled out of cylinder 5. That is also the side of the o2 sensor.

OUCH

Made it home in the Phoenix heat by the skin of my teeth. Another ten minutes and I would've over heated for sure. Just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful Pig Party. It was a pleasure meeting and wheeling with you all. I'm still tickled to have had the opportunity to wheel with a bunch of amazing Pigs when I've never even crossed paths with one on the road. Very special.

Now I need to get to work on a new windshield, rear view mirror (fell off in Flagstaff randomly) and possibly a new bumper. @abqcruiser , do you have a contact for the guy who did your bumper, I really like it.

I'll post some pics shortly.

Till next year!

Eyes just now starting to be able to focus enough to see my keyboard, 21 hours straight to get home 18 of them driving the 1100 mile route down to the Zion national park then back up to Boise, great group of guys and it was a honor & pleasure to be associated with them this last week.

Thank you @abqcruiser and @PabloCruise for planting the pig party seed then the rest of you guys that picked up the ball and ran with it to make this event happen!!!

Glad you made it home Mega!!! That looks like it cudda gone real wrong in the wrong place.
And glad for all others who are home safe.

Safe travels for anyone still on the road.

I did a straight run 17 hour 15 min camp to door gas and go. 15 hours 45 min seat time. There was occasional hesitation off and on. I got to the inspection station at the California border and it was 125 degrees outside. The pig started hesitating!!! I got in the shade of a building, opened the hood, took my magic pocket knife and tapped the carburetor at the G spot the mechanic in Barstow showed me and walla, the sow never hesitated again and ran strong the rest of the way(go figure). The first 6 mile grade had me on edge. Temp went up a bit but I made it over the top in 3rd gear at 37 miles per hour. Going down the other side temp went to normal. 2 more long grades and the old girl powered on. Going through Needles it was a mere 120. AC on the whole way kept the front cab comfortable. It definitely restored my faith in why I have a pig.

What a great event. I am only sorry that I couldn't have spent more time getting to know everyone and look closer at all the hard work that everyone has put in to keep these creatures alive.

Thanks for all the moral support and good vibes that helped get me there. I was going to get there one way or another.

Amazing how simple this thing came together as an event. Pick a place, pick a time and send out the call (sooie, sooie, sooie). It seems like everyone did a little something to add spice to the occasion.

That's not to leave out commendations to all for all the scrambling and prep it took to prepare for the journey and the distances that were covered to get there.

Someone said there were 10 States represented. Wonder what the total combined distance traveled by all pigs would be. I did around 1860.

Hope this thread continues for a while with return home travel stories.

Coodoos to all and pig speed.

I wanted to wear my red and brown mud like a badge all the way to San Diego. Flagstaff had a different idea and we ran into really hard rain. Hank had texted me to check in and i said "it's raining balls" then the hail started. so literally raining balls. The pig did well in the hot AZ, even when we hit a little traffic. It was the 2 pussy humans in the pig that needed more of a break. 114 outside and probably 120 inside. I am glad to have met all of you. It was awesome to see all the piggies. cant wait to do it again. I defiantly have a long list of fixes and advancements i need. Hope you all make it back safe.

I've got an OEM windshield in the box and a couple rear view mirrors. Holla.
I'm hollering! How much for a windshield and the rear view mirror? 602-451-6033. Thanks in advance.
