Are you stuck on SOA?

Not against SUA at all, in fact, it would probably be better for my intended use. Just don’t want to put $$ into reversing the SOA that was done relatively well by the PO, and would rather spend on gears, lockers, etc.

I understand that. I run 285/75r17’s Toyo MTs. Could definitely get away with a less aggressive tread but the size works out to 34” by 11” wide. Nice width looks clean. But I got the Stealth Custom F5 wheels, no spacers required and beautiful fit and finish.

Looks like they make a beautiful product. Also liked their Ray10s in gunmetal.

Where in CA are you? Wanna swap SOA for SUA?

In Fresno. Have put some work into getting the SOA situated, cleaned up where perches sit, new knuckles, custom reverse eye leaf springs, inclined to just stay with it for now.

Quote from another thread and my reply were out of order. Just don’t hear much clearly positive on the Kendas.

i'll post up later, have to get on another computer. The key on my pics with my truck ...I have 2inch body lift and 3+ suspension lift.

I can't find the series of pics at home but see the pic I posted in this thread. 17inch FJ cruiser wheels with 35/17/12.5 tires, requires spaces on rear to keep tire from scrubbing hard on inner fender, did not require spacers on front but ran them anyway just to keep things space similar front to back.

Appreciate the feedback from all of you. Only problem is now I’m thinking I want something that doesn’t exist: narrow 35” r17 in an AT pattern. May just stay with the 285 it r17 approach for now and see what comes of it. Got my steelies cleaned up and ready either way!

Late to this thread, but here's my 60 w/ FJ Cruiser steelies and 285/75R17 Toyo MT's...

I'm running 1.5" spacers, clears everything just fine.

I've got some of the FJ steelies and I just ordered some of the Cruiser Corps 1.25" Now I'm hoping they work...

Two tone on the steelies looks cool.

I just need to find some 35x10.50 bfg's to wrap around the steelies I have..

a narrow tire is a better choice as noted...for the 17inch FJ cruiser wheels, at the time I had 35 * 12.5 * 17 tires...so thats what I ran.
