So remove the nearly 40 yr old plastic white piece from the black piece without breaking it. Will try. Thanks.

I’m having a similar issue except my key will turn, accessories come on, but no crank at all unless I have my thumb pressing on the backside. Then it starts right up, every time.

My ignition cylinder works but the housing it sits in is jacked. It won’t start unless I hold pressure on the backside. It’s like the housing just doesn’t keep it tight enough. Ever come across that before?
