Well it's a long story so I will try to keep it fairly short but stick with me because it will be worth it.
It all started years ago when I bought my first 4wd a 1989 fj62 3f dual fuel powered 5 speed manual saggy suspension leaking exhaust the works it needed some love but it was straight and pretty rust free (at the time)
That was about 4 years ago I think and since then it has been my daily driver and my only vehicle.
A quick look at it before anything happened
To get it roadworthy here in Victoria it needed a few things so I got to work on it, the most notable was the suspension was shagged so a 2'' Dobinsons lift was fitted by a local workshop for a reasonable price and the other jobs that needed to be done were done by me and before you know it I had a registered 60.
Quick look at the difference after the lift.
The old girl slowly evolved with what little finances we could drag up second hand parts were generally the norm for our budget.
The alloy bar was removed and replaced with a used arb steel one.
Plenty of little things happened over the years but I won't go into to much detail.
Just under a year ago my dream of fitting a 12ht finally became a reality when I had one fitted at quite an expense I might add.
Here is a photo of it in it's almost most recent form.
Here is where it gets sad last year (December 2014) I had a little crash that if it wasn't for my agreed value insurance would have spelled the end for the 60 and after all the drama the decision was made that for the sake of our little family we would update to a 100 series and give us some more comfort and mod cons. This however was difficult for me as I have a bond with this old rig and in seeing that my lovely fiance (best women in the world) deemed it okay to keep the 60 and still buy the 100 for the family and my new daily.
The damage.
And the rig that will soon become the daily (hopefully pick it up next weekend)

Well that's enough for one post I think, the 60 build has taken a new direction now as the pressure is off it to do the daily commute and family duties but I will get into the plans in the next installment.
