I will be needing a new paint job in the near future. Does anyone know of any affordable and trusted places near OKC?

He's not in OKC but a nice drive for you to Flagstaff- Try @kelly saad

Can't help you in OKC. But, from my experience with shops who will paint non-insurance work... have another car to use for a couple months.

I currently have an '84 Toyota Pickup in "bodyshop prison" - thought it'd be four weeks... we're at 12. This shop has a great reputation. But, I think non-insurance work gets bumped - probably simple mandates from the ins. co on timing. Someone more knowledgable may have more insight.

I think this is key. A lot of shops will take waaaaaaay longer than they estimate. I'd plan on being without the vehicle for months, unless it's only a panel or two.

I've always had good luck with non-insurance turn around, but it likely helps to have a long-running rapport with the vendor including insurance work.

Do most shops not ask 'when do you need it back'?

And that may be just as important.

ACC Garage uses the shop as their primary bodyshop. They really do great work. But, they know none of the trucks ACC (or I, in this case) bring them is time critical. I'm restoring a toy. The next guy in there is getting his daily driver repaired or his work truck back to work. So yeah... that may be the main reason every time I walk in the shop Tony says "Hey... we were just about to get back to your truck. But... " ;)

I did just hear that the body works is DONE and it should be in (and maybe even out of) the paint booth!

Are you wanting the entire truck repainted or just a couple panels? I managed to paint the whole passenger side of my truck (excluding fender since it didn’t need it) in my garage and it came out great for what I was expecting. It took me a few weeks but that’s because I took my time.

Repainting Damaged Quarter Panel; Input Needed!

I am wanting to get the whole Cruiser repainted.

I have never looked Into them

With a wrap just keep in mind you need good, sealed paint under it. The wrap is also temporary, so if both are equally priced, a paint job has better "value".

Dollar for dollar though, a wrap can give you way more "wow" factor for a few years.

Yeah I am probably going to just get a new paint job because I plan on having the cruiser a long time and want to get the most out of my money
