My take on it.

Like the 200 it will drive nice and have a big fast motor. It will also make a good overlanding platform.

But for the price if it was available here I'd be hard pressed not to just buy a sequoia or a Yukon if I wanted a large suv to do dirt trails in.

Bow if I could drop 85k+ on a dd suv I would get it but just for name value only.

That's the issue with the cruiser I the states..... zero advertising, none, zip etc.... look at how much the TRD pro 4runner and tacoma get?? Hell the sequoia gets ten fold more.

So the only people looking to buy one are cruiser heads that are rich or someone that is brand loyal to toyota, wants the flagship model and is rich.

Before the Pandemic the big complaint was that it was hard to find Good employees. Now the big complaint is it is hard to find anyone period. What's changed?

Not sure about NC, but here in TN, with the fed subsidy for unemployment folks were making $15/ hour to sit home. So many got laid off and were able to sit home and get paid more, they don't want to go back to actual work for $10-$12 or less, so they just sit home. Or governor did opt out of the extra covid money, so hopefully we will start to see some returning.

Also, doesn't help when the gubment sends out a stimulus check every month or so. We're basically paying folks not to work. Why would a low skill worker want to go back to a labor intensive job for even $15+/hour when they can sit home and make the same and get a $1200 bonus every couple months just because.

To be 100% clear, I realize there are lots of people who needed that help, and that it has done good, but I also know people as a whole are lazy and given the options, would rather work none and get paid vs. hard work every day. I've got way more thoughts, but im going to leave it there or I'll have to take it to the rant thread...

Built a hat / coat rack out of an old 40 series bezel. Bezel was poor condition at best and I only added 5 holes to it!

edit...for tech I used spacers just like on a truck install so the bezel sits off the wall with rubber spacers. Yes...my ocd is in full force!

Looking to head to Uwharrie maybe Sunday or Monday. What's the trail conditions like right now? I'd like to try dickey bell if you think it'd be doable in my rig (details in signature) I saw there is some rain coming the next couple of days. Should I expect it to be really slippery Sunday and Monday. I don't have mud terrains

@thebeedeegee We were there last weekend for Relic Run. It rained Thursday and overnight into Friday. It had been so dry for a month that most people had no problems by Friday afternoon. I'm not sure of the forecast but I know they got hammered with rain for a while this afternoon. Daily rain won't bode well, especially if the humidity stays high. NC's red clay needs time to dry out. That crap is slick, sticky, and disgusting. If you're going solo, I'd suggest Sunday since there will be other 'wheelers out there who can assist if needed. Well, technically I'm not advising going solo into the woods, but you know what I mean.

Overall, the trails are in good condition. You won't find any mud pits unless you're driving where you shouldn't be. Keep in mind that even damp red clay can slide you around as you try to climb rocks.

Also, wet red clay discriminates equally between MT's and AT's...hates them both.

In closing, it's really a crap shoot at URE when rain is involved. I'm not trying to be a downer, but a lot of folks just don't understand what red clay is. BTW, immediately pressure wash your junk after leaving but understand that you might never get that last layer off!

Oh, you'll need a trail pass that can be purchased at Eldorado Outpost, right outside the forest, for $5. They also have trail maps on the wall to the left of the doors as you leave. There's also an air station there to air up when you're done.

I'm sorry I'm not able to join you. PM me, tho, if you'll be in Charlotte that week. Happy to meet for a beer or a meal.

Thanks man I appreciate that info. I may try and wait until later in the week to let it dry out s bit, at the same time I will be alone so it'd be nice to have some trucks out there to follow so we'll see.

I'm over in Fayetteville, but I'm doing to drive over there while I'm here (until the 18th)

Stupid question but does the rear side windows in the cargo area open out on my 01' LC? It appears they would but the plastic cover is not giving any when tugged on and I don't want to crack them by yanking the $hit out of them. Is there a trick I am not doing?

I planned out a trip to KC with a couple different Teslas via Go Anywhere | Tesla - https://www.tesla.com/trips . .and lets just say . . I won't be buying a Tesla for long trips any time soon.

15 hour drive stretched to 21 hours with 6 hours of charging required.
