Back in the 70-80's there used to be a Chattahoochee River Ramblin'Raft Race. It always made the news for the outrageous flotillas people concocted (think RedBull's aeroflot shindigs).

Hey there! UNC put me on this diet that really isn't only KETO, but also fasting with maybe a lil Paleo. This is the gist of it:

The key would be basically as much green leafy vegetables as you can eat. Raw is great for enzymes, etc. Starchy veggies are out.

Then fatty foods are good. Avacados, fatty fish like Salmon, etc. I eat a ton of chicken thighs and any other fatty thing I want to include bacon. The less preservatives the better (i.e. steak vs hotdogs). Heart disease doesn't come from fatty meats, but rather over eating simple sugars that give you fatty organs like liver, heart, etc.

Most of your carbs should come from your veggies vs any processed carbs like pasta/bread/sugar, etc. Beer is limited to one per day max given it would be 15g of carbs or so. 1/2 glass of dry wine is recommended vs beer. 40g of carbs is a limit for a person with a moderately slow lifestyle. Obviously exercise is great for many reasons, but it alone won't "cure" the problem if you keep shoving sugar in your body 24/7.

I have a 6 hour window to eat in - - typically ~11:30 and then 5:30.

The whole basis is that as you get fat, your hormones get all messed up and you become resistant to your own insulin. That is what leads to Type 2 Diabetes. You have to let you body rest from processing sugars - thus the low carb/surgar consumption, but also the fasting to give the rest. This is also why skinny people can get Type 2 Diabetes - - they may be fit, but constant eating/drinking can lead to insulin resist.

Ketosis is the state where you burn fat in your liver, reducing fatty liver and then other organ fats. It also have a bunch of other benefits.

You want to eat plenty of veggies to avoid gall bladder issues with this diet. Gall breaks down fats.

Also - - I have found if I stick to the diet, I can't over-eat - - hard to eat so many veggies and fatty foods as they are filling, but also am not as hungry. I actually have to push food vs feel hungry. That is a side effect of carbs and insulin hormones reacting with satiation hormones that make you hungry or full, as well.

Easy to lose weight on this diet - I feel 10 years younger, etc, but . . . I fell off it HARD while running the B&B. Just got back on : (
Awesome.

@Soju @MyWhiteSheep

Pep Boys on Skibo Drive in Fayetteville is closing down the storefront and only keeping the service department. Whatever they have left is 50% off, to include batteries and rental tools they are getting rid of.

EDIT: the manager said it’s the same story with quite a few stores in the region. May be worth checking your local Pep Boys.
Store closing sale at multiple Pep Boys locations….

TT V6 is interesting, should be the same engine that the next gen Tundra will get. The GR sport fascia gets my vote as the better front for the LC.
That is the coolest looking Dodge Durango I have ever seen. I normally don’t go for Dodge but I could be swayed with that version.

In the first photo, it looks like a new Bronco that got fat.

Interesting how they removed so much weight. Kept the 112 inch wheel base and went to 6 lug wheels. The upmarket one looks terrible. The gr sport is ok.

Before the Pandemic the big complaint was that it was hard to find Good employees. Now the big complaint is it is hard to find anyone period. What's changed?
