So the compressed shock length is longer than the spring, or the extended length is longer than the spring?

The compressed length is fine. The extended length of the shocks however is approximately 4 to 5 inches longer than my springs.

I would think that compressed would be too long also, given a 4-5" extended difference. But we all know I'm not made of science or math, so I have to ask questions like these.

Well... the compressed shock was too long as well. I had to extend my bumpstops down 3" so the shock didn't bottom out first. That wasn't so much of an issue. Having the spring fall out on the trail is a different story. You wouldn't know that it fell out unless you heard it or after flexing your truck dropped 4" in one corner.

So 2002 Celica GT ? Even the non GTS one - it's quite a fun car. Especially with some lightweight rims and Continental DWS tires. I may have to keep it for myself.
Battery needed a little top off. It's six years old and the cars clearly been sitting for a while.

Well the one thing you can't tell in pics is the cigarette smell peeeeeeheeww! Whole can of febreeze, a can of glade lavender spray a few hours of open air and a little coconut scented hanging tree seems to have done the trick.

Now it smells like a chain smoker did his laundry while drinking a pina colada in there.

Well the one thing you can't tell in pics is the cigarette smell peeeeeeheeww! Whole can of febreeze, a can of glade lavender spray a few hours of open air and a little coconut scented hanging tree seems to have done the trick.

Buy a bottle of cheap vodka. Put it in a spray bottle and spray down the interior, soft stuff, you know. Roll up the windows and park it in the sun for a day or two. Open up and ventilate for a day. Old car lot trick Heather taught me.

My oldest son graduated from App State in Dec, started his new job in Jan, and after enjoying the past 6 years with his '99 4Runner that he paid $3800 for, he finally found a 2013 4Runner Trail edition today. Bought it all by himself (high-five, parents!). He was sad to let go of the oldie, as he was closing in on 400k miles (one of his "goals"), but this new beast is really something special. I had no idea how off-road capable the Trail edition is (I'm going to have to read the manual, too!).
I was proud of how he handled himself during the whole buying process at the dealership. The short version is he stuck to his guns and squeezed them for a fair deal to meet his budget. Proud papa here. Will have to bring him to one of our events to meet you all.

I have a kick booty carpet and upholstery cleaning machine. Welcome to give it a go.

If that fails I believe my high octane hydrogen peroxide product will do it.

This works like a champ! Stan told me about this trick when I bought the heavily smoked in '94. Vodka in a spray bottle, sprayed everything until it was wet, pulled it outside in late June and rolled the windows up.

Never smelled the smoke again ....
