Any thoughts on the Celica GT - 2001 model.... Engine by Yamaha, right?

Any reliability issues? Things to look for?

Car I'm looking at has 115k miles - if this was a Toyota motor, I'd have no qualms.... Anyone have any feedback on that?
My wife has had her 2000 Celica since 2001. The thing is stupid reliable. All I do Is keep the oil changed and gas in it. It gets around 38 mpg; It took us all over the east coast during interview season before we moved here. The only reason she stopped driving it, is because she needed room for a rear facing car seat. It's my extra car now when not driving the 80.

Brit got it practically brand new. She doesn't drive fast or hard. It has survived learning to drive, high school, undergrad, and med school. I don't think there is a straight panel left on it though.

Anyone making a trip down to Greenville from Charlotte any time soon? @JToobe and I have mismatched sets of the chrome rocker trim and need to swap a piece.

I take full responsibility for that knuckle-headed fiasco!

Sounds like she needs a TBI powered 60 instead of that Celica, right @jamesurq ?

Not the letters, it left the morse code. Very funny.

I'm a big fan of Summit as a supplier. Never had a bad experience with them yet and their tech line is better than GM Performance's. Their return policy is superior to any other supplier I have used in the past as well.

Agree! I hate to think about all the money I spent with them over the years, but hey, they would show up at many track events with a container trailer and sell most if not all their merchandise. Great company. I didn't realize they got into off-roading....

Does it look like it was filmed in Uwharrie, towards the end?

wonder if the do a buy one, get one free promotion on those v12 ls motors......that would take care of a couple of problem children here.

That's a beautiful motor, enough room in a 60 series if you use electric fans :)

I'll just put this porn in here so the sickness can continue:

......my awesome new shocks allow my rear springs to all right out of the perch.
Quoting this snippet to here to keep the URE Workday thread clear.

So the compressed shock length is longer than the spring, or the extended length is longer than the spring?
