Considering a 2000 LC with 219k for a DD and long trip vehicle. What should I look for? I am not familiar with those models at all. I have been looking through the 100 forum to try to get an idea.
Timing belt and cam seal service should have been done at least once, ideally twice. Find out when it was done last.

Timing belt done at 153k.
Also water pump, and ideally, they will have replaced the cooling system PVC joints at the back of the engine (that one's not hard, but it's a must-do).

You might want to consider test driving an 03 due to 15 additional HP and 5 speed transmission upgrade. I test drove an 2000, 03, 06 and 08 before settling on my 03. For long drives on the interstate it makes a difference IMO.
Things to check along with finding out when Timing Belt~90K miles was replaced:
Water pump
Oil Pump
Thermostate & gasket
Fan Bracket @ 215K it will need replaced or you will wish you had done it when it starts to rattle
Heater TS & Hose
Serpentine Belt & Tensioner
If the 2nd timing belt hasn't been installed the above list are great negotiation points.

I have a few questions before I pull the trigger on the survey. Who did we donate $ from Logan's Run to and how much? Do we have to donate the whole $1000 to one group or can we spread the "love" to 2 groups? I believe we gave $ to BRC already but was FOU the only other group or Tread Lightly also? I'm just trying to get 100% of the information so that I can make an intelligent decision; which I know is questionable.
