Just found a pic of my first fj45! Circa 1994, had never seen an fj45 wagon before. I was looking for a 45 pickup and found this 4 blocks from my house! Spring over, 36 swampers, widened stock wheels, 327 sbc, 3 spd, no power steering and 4 wheel drum brakes! Those were the days!! Gumby ended up with this rig and restored it.

I didn’t personally know Marv Spector but I sure have a ton of receipts from his business in the late 70’s early 80’s !
Remember when they (Spector) bought a boatload of FJ45 fire trucks from Japan ! Pretty cool
 indeed !

@scrapdaddy any current info on that fixed top SWB?

Sold the owner some aftermarket seats a few years back. It has an Arkana stainless steel body and some were 10 seaters

I still own the White shortbed.
Just started it after sitting for 2 years.

Owensexport-

Any of these pics include rigs that still have the same owners today?

Thanks for posting.

My '66 FJ45 right after I bought it out of Oregon and brought it to TN. Sold it a year or two later without an engine. Bought it back last December at it in the barn waiting to get started on for a full redo.

I was the last person to drive it 20 years ago. I'll be the next one to drive it in a year or so.

towing it with my 80, I was just getting ready to sell that 80, another I should have kept. That’s @PabloCruise standing at the bed, he was the brave soul behind the wheel on the 30 mile tow home. I had seen that pickup bed for years hiding behind a house before I finally went and asked about it.
