JP, Thanks for that little clip. Way Cool. Looks like Gerlach Nevada near the "Black Rock Desert" I think the filling station is still there but has changed a bit. Anyone know the name of the film???

Good info. Mark. I wish I knew the name of the film but I just found the clip randomly searching for old 45 photos.

*Edit* gotta love Google, I searched the name on the back of the 40 "Corry Maddox D.V.M." and it led me to this....

Motorpsycho! (1965) - Plot Summary - IMDb

Better yet full movie here!!! It looks terrible but I'm gonna have to watch it for the Cruisers sake :grinpimp: And just a warning after a quick scan... I don't think its a family friendly movie to say the least :censor:

What a treat to see NEW landcruisers, a fst 40 and an lpb no doubt. Interesting, the tires look like later Dunlop weather masters, not rk3's? Silly movie but the landcruiser footage is great, they even got credits at the end( Hollywood Toyota was a big time importer back then) funny to think the Cali black plates might be registered still!! Might have to run those plates!

Ken,

My buddy had a shop right next to Skip! Not Tim, but he was helping at the time. That rear sticker is original from the factory! Never knew that til a few years later, only early 63, 64 lv's. I was looking for an fj45 lpb at the time and stumbled on this a mile from my house! I sold it around 96 to a local guy and bought it back from him in 2002! It eventually ended up with gumby here on mud and he built it and sold it a while back. That was and still is one of the most solid lv's, floors were perfect, roof, quarters etc. It was sold new at Thompson Toyota in redwood city( now Toyota 101. Original owner called me one day and said he had a box of parts for me! A bunch of nos weatherstrip! Gaskets, bearings, etc.

4 years ago I bought one of my 45s off the original owners daughter. Gordon bought it new in 1966, brought it home pulled the motor for a small block chevy and enjoyed it for years. He passed in 2009 and his son in-law made this memorial video. Look to the :56 second and 1:14 times in the video for the 45!

Watched the clip. Real nice... But, for all of the Bezel people, relook at it, the FJ40 Bezel= wrong, FJ45 Bezel=correct.. I do not understand this bezel issue. If the bolt pattern works either way, "is there a correct way" ?

I thought I would share my photo. They are not 45's but way cool. It's the 1980 Land Cruiser Jamboree through the Rubicon. I'm forth from the left in my 1971 FJ40 sporting the I'm a Pepper Tee Shirt. Enjoy.
