so I recently bought this lx450, 96 ...cause I wanted a solid front axle and the beefiness of the 80 series. I had thought about several wanted mods, lift, regear , etc. but after all the bs things going wrong wit the last yota ( 89 truck, sas, 5:29's quicklocks, marlin 4.7, etc.) , all I really care about for my needs is at least a rear locker ( I know how crappy open punkin's and being stuck , other vehicle is a frontier 4x open ) so anyway although the quick locks in the truck worked well , they sucked with the cling clang pop bang on the street, so I want a select-able locker ... so thought ARB ... but after reading this thread , these Harrop elockers sound like the ticket ! That being said , I'm mechanically challenged , so I need them installed by hopefully the guy in Stockton ? Georg I believe ? I assume he would do this ? I live in the sf bay area , so stockton is close - 60 miles-ish. anyway I wondered what a rear harrup locker installed would be price wise?
I know I should do both front and rear, but for the occasional expedition trip taking the easier softer way is the way for me ( No more 'con trips for me , been there , done that ), I just want to get to the remote trout streams in NorCal, with out that fear of one wheel in the air spinnin and figured a rear locker would be all I needed !
Your thoughts, especially Georg ?
