Looking to buy a set of LX450 or any 80 series OEM wheels. It would also be great if they included tires that fit stock ride height in a stock LX450 with aging springs (that is, 33s or 285/75R16 or lower), but not absolutely necessary.

SOLD: new member recruitment in progress

My 1997 Lexus LX450 is for sale and putting it up here before it goes on Facebook marketplace or the Mud classifieds section. It probably goes out to a wider audience in a week or two

Asking $8,900 OBO

The Good:
  • Relatively low mileage for an 80 series: 198,818 miles as of today
  • If I remember correctly, the vehicle spent most of its life in Georgia before I purchased it, and I’ve had it in the greater Charlotte area for about 14 years, so very minimal rust in the body and undercarriage
  • Almost done with installing a new StockInteriors.com carpet
  • Bowfin Cruisers roof rack in excellent condition
  • Aftermarket double DIN head unit: Pioneer AVH-280BT
  • All interior lights replaced with LED
  • Shaky mirror fix installed

The Bad:
  • NOT TRIPLE LOCKED
  • It’s not really noticeable now in the heat, but starting in cold weather sometimes leads to a slight misfire or "fish bite" until the engine warms up. H&H took a look at it for me a few years ago when I needed to replace a u-joint and they didn’t see anything wrong and didn't observe any misfire or "fish bite" with the warm engine
  • It hasn’t been my daily driver for about 8 years and it probably needs a thorough baseline across the board
  • As is common in an 80 series, it leaks oil, but I am not the most mechanically inclined and I have not tried to diagnose the cause.
  • One of the rear power door locks doesn’t work, I have a used actuator from another vehicle that I’ll include in the sale, but I haven’t gotten around to trying to install it
  • Typical slow power windows (though they all seem to work)
  • Windshield wiper fluid sprayer isn't working
  • Some paint fading on the hood but not the worst I’ve seen
  • Some bumps and scrapes on the bumper corners
  • As I said, I’m in the process of installing a new StockInteriors.com carpet, so the interior is empty right now. I can offer a reasonable discount if a mudder wants to take it off my hands as-is and do the interior carpet install
  • Crack in driver side mirror
  • No center console (replacement center console ordered and on its way)
  • Missing the tailgate panel because I was planning to install tailgate storage. The stockinteriors kit included a tailgate carpet cover, but it needs a panel to attach to

Note: I have some black powder-coated wheels on the LX450 right now, but I want to keep them for the “new” 80 series that I am driving home this Saturday, hence why I’m looking for stock replacement wheels in the post above. Also, I have BFG KOs on the rig right now, and the tread is solid but they’re getting old and probably need to be replaced.

Anyone interested in a hybrid bumper for a 2013+ Land Cruiser? I got it last year to try to get it to work with my 2011…the front bumper skins and a few other things were different…I did grind 2 areas as I was determined to get it to fit. I can send pics to anyone that might be interested. Trade for FJ40 stuff or other LC200 stuff or whatever? I also have two wheels from a later model LC200 if anyone needs those.

Free oem (I think) condenser for an 80 if anyone wants it. I don't believe it had any leaks, just decided to replace it as I had everything out when replacing the radiator.

Recently upgraded suspension on Bluey and have my old Skyjacker setup laying around. If anyone wants a cheap way to lift their 60, this will do it. I believe it’s a “heavy” kit. Shocks are functional but the overall ride is stiff. Could remove leaves to soften it up. Has poly bushings in place so you’d just need 18mm spring pins and shackles to install.

$100 fair? Pickup in S Charlotte or coordinate a mudship

@weejub I only wish I has 17” rims. Can they come attached to Reba? 😂

@Comet - If you need Reba back, I have some other 17" rims on her now :)

@weejub you have had her awhile now, waiting patiently though. Should be picking up my 80 in a few weeks. I will be so involved with that hot mess that Reba would not get

I have a set of LS motor mounts that are bolt-in for an fzj80 from the Land Cruiser shop. They retail for $375. Still new in the box, never bolted to anything. I cut my stock mounts off to move the motor so I no longer need them. I’d like to get $250 but I’m open to offers.

PM me any offer. I’ve got a vacation coming up and I could use a little extra spending money.

Looking for the middle back section of the front bench seat for a ‘72 FJ40. Pretty sure it’s specific for the ‘72 year model.
