@S4Cruiser Thats interesting, I didn't know that Toyota ever made 4 core ones.

Depending on what year 40, it was likely a 3 core off the dealer lot; however the later model years got 4 cores and these are still available new for ~350ish. Also come with a bright shiny new cap. Depending on your chassis year and the current engine 2F vs F, the newer 4 core can require some work to get it to fit. Nothing crazy though.

I have a three core Champion (ebay special) aluminum radiator on my 40 and on my 60. They both work fine. Fitment is better on the one for the 40 than on the one for the 60, but I have been happy with both. The 60 radiator required some oddball fine thread bolts but they were easily sourced from Lowes.

Has anyone had luck with aluminum radiators on 40s?
I'm running one made by C&R Racing. Having the oddball 83 with AC it was my only option since that radiator is different than the others. I've been very happy with it, temps are better than they were with the original. Finished in a black fluoropolymer coating it doesn't look out of place.

looking for a decent/cheap 33x12.5x15 tire for a spare

thanks

I've got a goodyear wrangler mt/r kevlar with ~70-80% tread in raleigh if you want to come take a look. $80
Or the same tire with about 20-30% and a patch for $20. Both for $90

I also used a Champion 3 core aluminum on my old '70 FJ40 with an F engine. It worked great. Easy install.

@JohnVee We were never able to get the block flushed, there is still a clog. We also got a bunch of foam stuck in the block from the muriatic acid eating the sump pump. So now we got all sorts issues.

Ouch. Someone here can give good advice if they see this. I got nothing. Hoping to see y'all at Logan's Run, though.

That's nice, someone will pay $25k+ is my guess. Due to wealth in that area coupled a decent AZ imported rig in an area a trend towards rust due to salt on roads

Not mine. I posted this on the main forum's For Sale page also. Looks pretty nice. Someone jump on it.
