6 x 37's...

How much trimming did 40's require? Got any photo to detail the scope of fitting 40's?
Not much, don't have pictures but it was the lip of the front and rear of the rear wheel well to make it flush with the lining for about 6 inches from the bottom edge. The front I stretched forward and cut the front clip out in about 12" and up about 4".

Just picked up some used BFG K02s 37x12.5R17 and FJ Cruiser Steelies
1994 FZJ80
OME Heavy 3” lift (850J / 863J)
Stock Gears
No spacers
Haven‘t taken it off-road yet, so I am sure other mods will be required

I’m still using the acorn style lugs from my stock wheels which I am not sure is correct. Need to research this more.

Acorn lug nuts on those steel wheels should be correct.

Nice backdrop for the photos!

Get sliders sooner than later. You only have to bend the rocker panel once by coming down hard on a rock and the doors will never seal right again.

Here’s a recent picture of mine. Dobinson’s 4” springs, 17x9” wheels, scooted the front axle forward an inch, and 37s.

When I upgrade to 37s I am thinking of going with a 17x9 with either 3.5" or a 4.5" with a 37x13.5x17. Does anyone have any experience running either a 17x9 3.5" backspacing or 4.5" backspacing with a 37x13.5 tire?

yall should really start using offsets instead.

I like where your head is at wanting wide 13.5s. Iirc box rocket runs 37x13.5s.

I would go with the 3.5
