Well I might be dreaming or Toyota may just have a mistake in their database but they are showing the part #6 in the left picture to be available in both the right and left side. So I called up Ralph Hayes Toyota and ordered both sides just to see if they were actually real. So far their system shows it as not discontinued. This could be a big help in those who have rain gutters falling apart . WHile it's not the gutter it is the main support underneath it which usually rust along with it.

Cross your fingers. Should know in a week.

Best yet they are not as expensive as I thought they would be.

I've had them on order since my last post. They just finally got back with the dealer and told them they were discontinued. Looks like it was just a qlitch in the system.


Anyone have more parts?

sadly, that may be just what happened. i've only been in the big truck parts side of the biz, but semi popular parts are usually bought up by obsolete distribution houses, but the parts that don't move are "bought back" by the manufacturer as scrap and the dealers are told to literally scrap those parts.

That is not a happy thought to think of - little unobtanium Pig parts getting crushed. Hopefully no quarter panels suffered that fate.

Going back to this b/c my gas cap leaks gas down my quarter panel.

Does anyone know what would be appropriate for a 1974 Piggy w/ a 3FE?

With valve or w/o valve? Not sure what the 3FE requires...

I came across this website while searching for parts...Not sure if everyone has checked it out yet. It shows a lot of parts still available.

EDITx2: Looks good for a parts number look-up, seems like CDAN's prices are cheaper, but it is cheaper than SOR.

I couldn't find them for my 74, but Toyota used the exact same ones on the early 70's Corolla and Corona. I found mine in a salvage yard.
