are these locking caps? what's l/key mean? what's l/valve mean?

x-2, if you can offer guidance about the decsriptions, I will try one.

How do I determine which is correct for my Jan 74 55?

L means Less
W means With

So I'm assuming the one I bought would have a valve in it. I'll check tonight. It did seam fancy for just a gas cap.

need about a complete set of these!
67772-20021 CAP, DOOR TRIM $.76
67771-20022 RETAINER DOOR $.88
These are the clip and plastic socket that hold the door and cargo panels on.
also need 77308A CUSHION (right above the fuel door)
who do you recommend contacting?; thinking about C-Dan
BTW might want to check on the locking gas caps; have a locking gas cap sold as for an fj 55 but when it is place you cannot shut the fuel door:frown: hth

Lou, I have alot of extra USED clips if you want (it´s not like it will break the bank or anything) but they are there. Is that gas cap the one I sent? If it is, it worked fine on my ´76! You´ll need to post pics so we can see why it doesn´t work for you. The only reason I changed is because opening it was a pain and the door locks anyways.

Charles, yes it is the one I got from you a while back; the gas door will not shut when it is in place; will try to get some pix of it; I tried it on the 74 and could not get it closed, have not tried it on the 69 body though.....thanks for the clip offer; mine are rusted to death and will need to purchase then only the new plastic clip retainers part # 67771-20022 RETAINER DOOR $.88 thanks again and

Does the cap hit the door or what exactly? I've got to imagine that perhaps the shape of the filler neck recess in the body changed though why I have no idea!

after market locking gas cap interference

Charles; here are pix of the problem; ended up getting a locking fuel door to solve the problem thanks again to Ige :)
the locking gas cap can be used and will fit the filler neck but then you cannot close the door; it is quite a bit wider than the aftermarket autozone I have on..........pix show the interference with the fuel door; you can see the size difference;
maybe the ones that Marshall has found won't have the problem or maybe it is only on my 74:confused: any comments??

I wonder if the filler neck on mine was pushed to the inside of the truck enough (there is some slop if the bolts are loosened) to make it clear as it looks like it must be really close!

Question - can I mount those w/ my PTO winch?

I think so. I have a pair mounted on the bumper of the '45LV right now next to the winch. I have not looked at the FJ55 to see if it is possible though.

As long as there is a bumper bolt there you should be good and I'm 99% sure there is one on the outboard side of the '55 bumper.

I have a spare set of these mounts if you are interested.
