These look like rock catchers to me! I don't care if they are OEM, their one thing I can do without!!

I thought they would be good to make tire steps...you know those chi chi things that you can step up on to work in the engine bay more confortably...without denting in the top of your fenders :)

make a good present for the cruiser guy that has everything already...is there such a person? :) no pun intended ;)

I bought the license plate light for my 72. It was around 40 bucks. I don't have the part number but if you are intreseted let me know and I will go find it!

Two things.....do the fog lamps come two to an order or do you have to order two? AND have the brackets parts number changed? My dealer says that the number that I gave them is no good. (I read it and re-read it to them!) Thanks all....

Mot the Mud nickname of a very dependable Mud member who lives in Japan (I think). A stand up dude.

How do I get ahold of him?

UPDATE:

Did me some ordering today of parts previously posted up on this here thread. prices before discount at Wellesley Toyota in MA

87940-90351 drivers side mirror- out of stock
87910-90351 passenger side mirror- there are 2 in CA and I bought one so only one left- $83
69555-20010 keyholder- in stock in california and they have inventory- $12.83
77310-60090 gas cap- in stock in CA- $15.90

I have an idea. I called back to the Wellesley Toyota guy and asked him if there was a way for me to get online and search the inventory of whats available. he said no, that I;d have to give him each part number individually for whatever I wanted to check.

My idea: each person takes a section of the truck and writes out a list of parts for their local dealer to check ie one person does seats, upholstery, etc, another does dash, another does body panels, another does glass, another does door parts, another does fuel system, another does rubber pieces, etc. Each volunteer picks a section and makes one post that they continually update as they get feedback of what's available and what isn't with valid part codes and prices and inventory amounts (parts are either in California or Japan warehouses.)

This way we are all equally bothering many dealerships but in smaller increments. It wouldn't be fair to call my local dealer and give them 2000 part numbers. If we each did 25-50 parts then we could have the whole truck covered quickly and have a definitive reference.

I believe toyoDIY.com has many part numbers. If we can hand parts dept people a list and let them pick away at it during down time over the course of a few weeks it'll be done for good. We'd only have to do this once.

Thoughts??

If you go to toyodiy.com and type in your vin number you can search all the part numbers. you could very well print the page/diagram with the parts numbers on them and drop them off at a Toyota Dealer for them to check. This might be easier than I thought!

I got some coming from mot. Go ahead P.C.

Thanks for the offer Cruiser Guy......next time!
