Installed! The transformer comes with double sided sticky tape (or two bolt holes) for mounting.

difference between standard halogen (right) and HID (left). HID is MUCH whiter. There is tape where the beams were pointed. The HID completely washed out the tape in the picture.

Right side transformer mounting.

Both HID installed

same spot in the road. Ridiculous difference, huh!

Brights

My personally opinion on these, Awesome! Worth the $240 bucks paid for the upgraded housings and the HID's. My only long term concern is how the HID's will effect the factory wiring. From expeirence i've seen aftermarket HID's melt wiring harnesses that arent upgraded for the extra pull. So we'll see if i have an issue. I plan on upgrading all the wiring eventually anyways so if it does burn up, it'll just be upgrade time!

Wow, they are an improvement. Something still on my list.

Pictures...If you look at my old posts, on your build, they are thumbnail size. I'm too computer dumb to make those to full size. My whole build is thumbnail size. I'm sure it will be figured out in the days to come.

How are you uploading the pictures to you post? I use photo bucket and it optimize it for you.

Just went back and looked. I see what your saying. I'm guessing your just adding images with the add image above ^ . I think the only way to solve your issue is to use a 3rd party photo program like I do.

Early this winter (about 6 months ago) I began to have issues with my tailgate window. Got around to finally spending about 3 hours working on it today. Automatically figured the window gear broke stopping the window from going up and down fluidly. Upon getting started I found a few issues.

#1. The three wires that go to the window motor had all been cut and splice back together. Took the electrical tape off the wires to see the damage expecting to possibly see some corrosion or burn wires. Nope. When they spliced it together they just twisted the wires together and then just taped up. No solder what so ever. Fixed that.

#2. Regulator had about 50 year old grease that was like glue between all the moving parts. Cleaned it up and applied some grease I had laying around. (Plain axle grease for now. Will redo it with some better grease when I go back through it in a few years) Also got the plastic gear. The grease in there was like molasses. Disgusting.

#3. The third thing you guys are possibly thinking is a shattered or cracked gear. Nope. Mine look practically brand new. However figured since I had a midgainc gear I would throw it in anyways. Put everything back together and realized my motor would click but not move. Found out due to the gear not having a recessed area it contacts the top plate. No biggie put the like new plastic one back in for now.

Here you can see where it rubbed

After getting everything sorted and back together it still was seeming sluggish. But now at least works up and down everytime. Also replaced the junction block with the brand new one I just got.

went to tear apart the motor and couldnt get the case apart due to the rounded and rusty screws...great. We'll after taking everything else out of the equation I think the motor is just pretty much shot. For a mental note I did take a picture of the motor part number so I can order a new one.

Spendy little devils...

I'm concerned about that gear rubbing. We need to look at that and see if it's going to be problem for all of them and what to do about fixing them. I have one on the shelf, but the one in the motor is from years ago.

Anybody else having this problem?

Shiny parts!

I got to anxious and didnt take a picture of the 2ftx3ftx3ft box that most of this stuff came in (plus it being about 50-60 lbs it seems) The box the rockers came in was about 6ft tall and weighed 63lbs....jesus!

First opening of the small boxes

quarters out of the box

"and you'll be going here."

LOVE the stainless sill plates (got front and back)

Everything all together.

The thing i was most surprised by was the weight of these rockers. Was originally thinking of doing some 4x4 tubing and making rock rails. Hell these will be almost as strong and look 100% factory. Super awesome!

Well, sheet metal for weeks....literally, because once i get started its going to take me WEEKS to get all this stuff in. Cant wait!

Would like to give a HUGE thanks to Bobm for doing this stuff for the community and for a very fair price.

I'll be doing more pictures in the process, so stay tuned! (gonna be a little bit though)
NPULVER, any questions when you get into the metal work, you got my #

Thanks Bob.

Can a local electric shop rebuild?

Wow, not really not sure why i didnt think of that. I'll have to run my motor over there next week and see if its rebuild-able.

Luckily the solution is simple. When i get some time i'll run it over to my machine shop. Im sure it'll cost me 20 bucks to have a groove cut in it. Groove looks like it needs to be about a 1/4 wide and 1/8 inch deep roughly.

Hopefully soon! The only thing that makes me nervous is the lower corners of the quarters. I purchase some wheel arches from Bugsnbikes and he also cut the rear corners out for me also. My goal is to use one of those hopefully, but the other side i can only use part of it. So i'll have to do a little metal work. Should be interesting.

Wow! That looks to be some amazing surgery!

Just picked up a road armor front bumper. Going to modify it to fit the factory mounting position. Hopefully it looks good lol.

Did a little chopping of the new bumper. Able to test fit the look. I like it. But it needs to be shoved back another inch to he where I like it...more cutting. Also need to weld up a bracket that I had to cut the weld off of. Going real nice and smooth so far. No modifications to the pigs frame horn. Just the way I wanted it.

That bumper looks beefy enough. Blends well with the big tires. Your wagon really has a nice look to it.
