How many people have jumped from the top of the rafters onto that trampoline? Perfect placement!

If i was still a kid, i know i would have. Luckily for me my kid isnt the daredevil i was as a child and isnt the adrenline junky i was. lol. The railing on the deck hasnt been put up though so the kids could just jump on the trampoline from the deck. No ones died yet.

You are going to love the Sniper. Greatest 2F mod ever

Im hoping this is how i feel here in a week or two. I have all the hard stuff done currently. Just have to drill a hole in the exhaust pipe for the wideband, and bolt everything on. Fuel tank is done, adapter for the coolant jacket is done, intake to sniper adapter is done. Air filter and one last extra fitting is on its way. Last Pain in the ass thing to do is mount the fuel pump.

old adapter, that someone made for the 2gc

Luckily as part of the parts stash i got from buying the landcruiser, it came with a mana-fre adapater, which added with the $25 adapter spacer i bought was perfect. No drilling required.

At some point in time, i might purchase the redline Adapter as it is a much nicer looking piece. But for now, this should work.

The weather hasn't been super conducive to productivity but I'm pressing on! More work on the injection setup. Tank is laying back in it's well, and fuel lines are mostly ran. Need to blow out the steel line I'm using for the return line as its sat open for many years. Temp sender is installed. Took me like 2 hours and 2 trips to the hardware store to get the right adapter. I've never really dealt with copper pipes so had a small ceash course in the difference between not, pipe thread ect. Fuel pump is also drilled and mounted on the passenger side frame rail. The 6 1/2 air cleaner fit perfect. Last piece to hunt down is a 2.5 inch T clamp for my o2 sensor plate. Clamps that come with the kit were 2". If it wasnt for that I would be ready to start wiring.

Looks like I have 2 more days of warm weather before it starts snowing 🤮

Just for the knowledge, coolant adapter. 2f block coolant jacket threads are 1/2 pipe thread. Sniper coolant sensor is 3/8 npt

Well its been 3/4 of a year since my last update, figure i should get my yearly in (haha). So the last 6 months has been a whirl wind with 2020 going the way it has. In December i finally started on my new place. Its not exactly what i wanted placement wise, but it was atleast a decent compromise between the wife and i. I wanted more land a little farther out. She wanted closer to town and to live in a development....So we got closer to town and a development. On the plus side i did get a little bit larger piece of property and have just a touch over an acre so i can put my shop on the property in a few years. Hopefully that doesnt move like my landcruiser projects!

Wanted to put my old house on the market in February but the wife and i were going on a week and a half vacation so she talked me into waiting on putting our house on the market. Get back from vacation....Covid 19. Housing market went to a stand still. Talk about freaking you out when you have a brand new house that going to be finished being built in a month. o_O Everything went down to the wire, in the end we lost out on about 15-20k on our house sale because of covid, which meant my shop wasnt going to happen this year and would be put off for a few years. Not the end of the world but makes things a little more crunched. In the short term i still have more room than i had at the old place.

So between moving and trying to get situated and things built at the new house my vehicles are scattered between two houses. The FJ40 is still roughly in the same spot i let on the cliff hanger, the sniper kit is fully wired up, put the fuel tank back in the cruiser, put gas in the tank. Started cranking to only notice two problems. Sniper is showing no crank signal, and i smell fuel. Well the fuel smell put me to a stop as i found out that in the process of me drilling and adding my return line to the tank that someone had JB welded a hole in the bottom of it. It was spray painted some i assumed it was a little surface rust by the way it kinda looked. In my cleaning i knocked the JB weld patch loose and created a fuel leak. :censor: So as the next day was down in the 30's outside i ended up putting the project on hold as i needed to buy a new fuel tank. It was parked out side and snow started flying shortly after. So figured i would get to the project this spring. Then i started to build a house in December. Between building and selling, nothing got done on any of the vehicles.

For the last month I was loaned a bobcat and quite a bit of ambition and started creating a 60x20 patio with built in fire pit. So the first month of living in the new house has been very busy as you can imagine. This was the first big project that needed to be done so i can get the sprinklers installed an figure out where the 12x20 garden shed is going to get built. Getting close to get it done, just waiting on one more load of dirt from my mother in laws company. (I hate waiting)

However fast forward to this last weekend, Parts were ordered for both cruisers. Ordered the fuel tank for the FJ40 and decided that my time is worth more than money so just ordered a pre-done LS wiring harness so i can get crunching on it.

And the best part. The Pig is the only one at my house.

Some pictures of the new house.

Sorry to hear about the profit loss, but the new place looks fantastic! No shop...but carport's are still cheap

You have been busy.....I spy a nice clean 40 tub in the garage. Where did you snag that? Where about is the new house? You will love the extra room. Anyways glad to hear your wife is doing well.

House is out north on Elkvale. Tub came with Duanes fj40 I purchased. It's in really good shape with only on dent on the passenger quarter. Also ended up coming with a hard top and ambulance style doors. And extra main doors. Lots and lots of transfer case parts.
