correct Duckie, it is very close but just clears it. The excess grease from the newly greased ball joint actually passed over to lip of the wheel. Close but clears :)

Got stuck on a thread last night about putting Volvo s40 seats in a 60. Much more comfy I hear....now to find a cheap used set out of a wreck and fab the mounts....:hhmm:

Maybe :meh:

Hi-steer will give you more clearance there.

Because the steering arms are different?

Edit... yes. I looked at the pics on the 4x4labs website. Imagine that. Research...:hhmm:

A friend of mine and old CSC member has a 60 with a 5 speed he bought from Down Under. He loves it until someone gets in his way and he loses RPM's ;)

H55 hmmmm.... that lower first gear with the addition of 5th sure would be nice.

OK here we are 5 months after I dropped it off to the body man (I know, I know, I said when I first bought it I wouldnt mess with it and leave it as is...the wife says I have Cruiser A.D.D. or something :hillbilly:)

Anyway, some progress has been made and hopefully I can get her finished up soon (?) <fingers crossed>

It is one of those deals where I get a decent price and they work on it when they can. I just tell myself that 6-7 months is better than a year . Im thankful that it was even possible that the guy is working with me but im getting anxious for having her ready for the fall/winter when it is nice to get outdoors.

Are you keeping it red? Not sure I like it with the gold trim your using around the windows.:hillbilly: But the gold trim does match the copper state cruisers on the back window.

Is this the cruiser looking for the front bumper? If your running a 60 I could run my 62 down here. Would just need to add my lift kit. But I searched around and can't seem to find it.:hhmm:

yes. Im keeping it the original red. and yes this is the one that im thinking about a front bumper. i may try a porta power first and see if the slight bend will straighten up.

oh yeah, thanks for the lift :D

Do you have those rear sliders still? Pm me pls

Dang, Murf! Now you need a red 40  to fill out he stable.

Sliders:confused: No never had sliders. Your just lucky I got rid of the lift before adding the ARB bullbar up front. Now thinking I need to lift it and add sliders. Tires are dry rotted and falling off in chucks so a decision needs to be made.

I haven't played around much with chrome bumpers but have straightened FJ40 bumpers in the past with good luck. I use two porta powers between two slabs of concrete. One holds the main bumper in place while the other convinces the bent part it really wants to go back to wher it started. A vise is used in the process to help with the top and bottom.

I wasnt clear - I was referring to the rear sliding windows. Still got 'em?

Okay now I understand. Us old guys are a little slow sometimes. Box is still there, don't remember the sound of broken glass last time I moved them so as far as I know I still have them. Won't be able to check on them until next week. Heading out of town for my bi-monthly visit to some of my cruisers.

PS: you do know the trim around the windows isn't gold ,so they wouldn't match the other windows.:hillbilly:
