I'd have to disagree with that. I wheel/work with Richard quite a bit, and he's been dicking with those joints since about the week after he put them on the truck. The last thing those joints have been is neglected. The bottom line is they don't work for his use, which is a DD/moderate rock-crawler. Right from the start they had issues unrelated to maintenance. But besides that, any part that requires constant maintenance is bound to fail.

I can’t argue with you there because, yes, eventually, all parts wear out or fail including rubber bushings.

What is on the other end and the condition after 15K

The other end of the arm had sleeved poly bushings that were still in excellent condition.
This is what the arms looked like when they were pulled to get swapped for Blackhawk arms.
Top is TT arm, bottom is Blackhawk.

These are the TT arms on the same day as when they were pulled after about ~15K miles. Just a bit a cleanup and fresh paint, but the joints still looked solid as well as the poly bushes.

Nice design Like the rotating ability. Any info on the longevity? With the range of motion hard to believe they would last long?

These have been out for several years now and i searched and searched and couldn't find one failed example. MC charges a premium for their products but i believe they put in the R&D and support their claims.

I dont question my joint choice at all after driving the truck for the past couple years.

This is the joint i am using on my new 3 Link. Its from Metalcloak and I like it so far, the front suspension on my truck is whisper quiet and I love it compared to the creaky and groany stock setup.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with them. And no kidding man, it was a bit of a pain since my angles aren't 100% square to each other. Love it on the street and trail though since in my mind it has to help with roll at least a little bit compared to joints that arent self centering.

Working on putting together upper and lower arms with SPC axis joints on both ends and a jack screw adjuster on the uppers.

What caused you to change them out?

They were 2 5/16 wide (for some reason) and I wanted to run 2 5/8 like a normal person. So I went with a cartridge joint. Fail. Heims FTW

Same type. Currently the joint needed for the 80 series rear control arms are not available individually and we hope to get that changed.

I considered these last fall but ended up customizing my metal tech arms with oem bushings at the axle end instead because the SPC arms Slee offers are stock length which makes no sense to me when the majority of them sold will be fitted on lifted 80’s.
